build furniture in my game! will play yours too

https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-16/rate/4944176

Love the art, it's a really beautiful game. I wish there were more instructions, my cuttings keep dying T_T

The white text on the light green was a bit hard to read (for the pot/soil descriptions), maybe increas ethe contrast there?

Thanks! Just played your game, great story!

Ahh thank you~~

Thank you!! Oops, sounds like I should make the controls more clear heh

Thank you!!

Thank you! Haha yes it would be a good transit game, though I guess I'd have to translate the rotation to be mobile friendly heh

Oh no haha, thank you very much for persevering and playing! Let me think of a way I could make this more obvious

That's sick, congrats ;) thanks for playing to the end!

Hahaha that's amazing, so pro you don't need the manual. Thanks for playing!

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! You're right the camera angle/invisible depth axis was tricky and I wasn't really sure how to fully solve it. I'd hoped giving enough allowance for piece snapping would help alleviate it, but I'll think about it some more :D

The story was very well written and thought out. The intrigue amongst the villagers' storylines felt like a TV detective show, and the theology and morality topics explored make you think. I played it a few times to explore different branches. I also feel it's quite clever to use the confessional as a mechanic for anonymous clue giving.

I really wish there was a feature to "skip" cutscenes if you've played them already so you can jump to points where there's real branching.

the minigames are A BLAST. alcoholism and day trading is so relatable

SUCH A LOVELY GAME! I love the art and story and the ui so much. I was laughing so much. Though I feel I am a toxic friend to Dora HAHA

haha done!

UI is really polished and the game is entertaining

done!

The game was fun and relaxing! I would suggest having the back to city button on the top right instead for convenience and also removing some of the reset and stop buttons since I ended up accidentally pressing them haha

done!

+1 on tutorial part but I really liked the hand drawn stage background. Not sure if I understood all the themes, the game would freeze/get stuck for me consistently after stage 4.

Tired of playing papers please style games LOL if you have one that's not about judging individuals based on information, please link it below and I'll check it out if it seems interesting to me. Interested to see more creative takes on an admittedly restrictive theme.

Not required but consider checking out/rating my game, it's a furniture building puzzle game

My game is a furniture building sim / puzzle game, my first jam! Thanks :)

Really cute art and hilarious scripts! I wish I got more instant feed back on whether I made the right call (or at least a score out of six after each level)

Ah I see the gauge now, its buried within the first collapsible as "filter intake gauge", the font is not super easy to read for the orange subtitle. By signal to noise, I just meant conceptually the information in the records modal is verbose and important info feels buried. I'm not sure which parts are important or if everything is used (stuff that isn't relevant/used is "noise", important info is "signal")

Played through and rated! I appreciated the visuals, terminal based setup,  and The Resident references with the character names haha.

Maybe it's a skill issue on my part, but I felt I didn't have enough information to understand the responses (e.g. how do I check the gauge? Is service tunnel same as maintenance tunnel?). In the records text, not sure if all info was pertinent, the signal to noise ratio felt a bit low.

the itch io link is broken for me :/

I love this game! Great job!! It really felt like an irl escape room and I really enjoyed the immersion and on-theme gimmick

Really enjoyed the art and the music! The story was quite intriguing and the scenes had a cinematic feel. Great job!

I do wish there were more interactive responses/choices, because it sometimes felt like I was one-sidedly clicking through paragraphs of text line by line
