Magical Royal Flush

This was fun. I really love all of these wands now. Cleansing is now a viable option for any build, really; Ethereal easily replaces Crimson Energy, it's a perfect snowball tool for faster setups. Magic weapons are really good!

And that's the problem. Magic weapons outplay any other weapon type the moment you get a single Wizard Cap. It's a shame, as i want to try out bows, as i love ranged classes in any game. The problem is that there are only 3 bows, bows and arrows take up more space than a single wand (unless you have a crossbow and a small arrow, but they are weaker than a wand), no armor related to archery, and they aren't immune to spikes. There is no reason to not go for magic builds.

I don't want to suggest another magic nerf, considering others already did, i want to say that archery needs it's own update someday, with buffs, new accessories, weapons, armor and some reworks to make them different from other weapons. At least letting bows ignore spikes will be a sufficient change to give them their own identity.

Wow, that's a very long shopping list.

Are you, um, on my side? Or...?

  • Changed enemy attributes. They will not gain passive status effects if you use any item. They must take damage.

That's a W right there. Cleansing Wand is finally meta! Mirror Shield is now even better too! Thank you for this!

  • Increased the power of the cleansing wand

Can't wait to play this now. This will make post-game an actually good time!

Oh, so that's how much health King has at floor 27.

6-7 hours spent, just to get here. Honestly, with this setup i could go further, but i don't want to go insane through sleep deprivation. Besides, i wanted to make a point: Magic is still overpowered. Now it's the Wizard Caps that break the balance of the game. Even just one is enough to cause trouble, if someone is patient enough to farm mana. I wish i had that dark whetstone, so that i could decimate everyone's damage and farm even more mana with that, just so that i could see if mana caps at 9999 or not.

Oh, and btw, i whiffed the fight, all because i forgot to block spikes. I just got into rhythm with my wand and lack of protection was the end of me.

I really like how now you can curse yourself, which potentially grants great bonuses with lots of risks involved. But the Emerald Bracelet is not that great. I understand why it had to be reworked, but it's bonus is not worth the size it takes up in the inventory with curses, as it's ability only activates on the first turn. If it was instead active on every turn but it's bonus would decrease by 1, maybe then it'd be a good alternative to energy gems for early setups, (except to Crimson Energy, that is a really good addition to a legendary arsenal, thank you so much). At least it's counterpart got the better hand with it's balanced utility.

Then there's Cleansing Wand. It's not Crimson Energy, and it's also not even worth it. The one enemy i hoped it would work best is the King, but since it "attacks" it, spikes and rage are readded, basically wasting mana, which, unless you get Necro early on, is now even more scarce. Same happens with other enemies that have their abilities activated on touch. That doesn't leave us with a lot of units this wand actually works on. Pass.

Also, it would probably be better if bows (and maybe some wands) could avoid spikes on the target. Would make this class of weapons have a valid reason to coexist with other weapons, considering the size bows and arrows take up. If you see an opponent that has spikes but also understand that touching those will potentially end your run? Deal with that menace by turning them into swiss cheese from the comfort of your comfy backpack with arrows.

And, uh, i don't think it's supposed to do that.

Just found a bug where if you get too close to a wall when you are about to shoot with an upgrade "Heavy bullets", your projectiles get blocked by that said wall. I want to introduce you to my new pet wall! Here you can see how i properly feed it. It'd be a real shame if someone were to take it's food away.

It won't let me take it again. I actually have progressed really far into the game this time, beating 3 levels two times in 1 life. I actually came up with an idea for a power-up because of how long i've been playing.

Name :"Rewind"
Possible description: "Let me take that back" - this power-up allows your bullets to spawn from the location  where they would usually disappear and instead come towards you. It also plays your music in reverse order instead. It would allow to clean up enemies that are hiding behind cover or bulkier enemies. Really helps against projectile opponents.

Yeah, i think spawns needs to be adjusted so that the flow of the game stays consistent. Always get annoyed when i see multiple enemies hugging the entrance.

I actually saw the same thing, only there was 1 pair of lazers that wasn't moving at all and actually stayed even after killing a miniboss. I wish that i didn't forget to screenshot that one. Forgot to mention that i saw this happening in on 4.0. So far, i haven't seen that happen to me on 5.0

Is there any way i can take a survey again but this time for the new version? I already took it for the 4.0 and i have new things to say.
