Glad you gave it another try! Yeah the controls are definitely the area that needed most revision. Thank you for the feedback -- next jam I'll try and focus more on polishing input-feedback and comfort.

And RIP -- hopefully that bug didn't lose you too much progress. Bugs will always haunt GameJams haha :) Much appreciated that you took the time to help provide all this feedback and explain your experience!

Hi ChriticalHit! Thank you for playing the game and the positive feedback! Appreciate the kind words :)

Hi ChaoticAurora! Thank you so much! I tried to focus on the theme of a Casino (Dice character, Vegas desert in the BG, Slot Machines for new abilities, Poker Chips, Cards, and Cherries for collectibles). But yeah a bit more focus on dice (maybe other breakable dice? Enemy dice? Mini dice?) would have been a good choice. Wish I had more time than 48 hours haha. Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it and I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Hi miya! Thank you so much for playing my game and for the feedback. It was a long 48h for sure haha! I absolutely agree the controls could do for some polish. I appreciate the kind words :)

Hi Plagiatus! Thank you so much for playing my submission. My apologies on that confusion on that part. When you're done with what you want to do in a level you can press "ESC" to go back to the level select screen -- albeit I understand that's not the most obvious thing (I tried adding a little "?" button in the upper left that people can click on for controls but it isn't hte most obivous either lol). Ran out of time to implement a true "Level Finish"... Once you earn the new ability in a level, that unlocks the next level to be accessible in the level select screen. Hope you enjoyed what you got to play though!

Squishy Golf is a gamejam product, developed as a spin-off game from a project I am working on called Dimension17 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-2EWkFz5Pw).

Your goal is simple. Click to launch Squishy to the goal!

The theme is "20". So this game takes that theme to the meta. Why stop at 20 when you can have 20 20s? The game is built with 20 different aspects that represent the theme of 20. Half of which are game-related, the other achievement related:

  1. There are 20 levels
  2. Tiles are 20x20 pixels in size
  3. The entire game is built using a 20 color palette
  4. Each level has 20 collectible DataBits
  5. Each room is 20x20 tiles in size
  6. Game window is 20x20 tiles in size
  7. Each level has a 20 minute level cap
  8. Dying creates 20 death particles
  9. Winning creates 20 star particles
  10. Collecting DataBits create 20 bit particles
  11. Beating each level 20 times gives an Achievement
  12. Beating each level in under 20 mouse-clicks gives an Achievement
  13. Beating each level in under 20 seconds gives an Achievement
  14. Beating each level with all 20 DataBits gives an Achievement
  15. Dying 20 times in a single level gives an Achievement
  16. Dying 20 times by the edge of the screen gives an Achievement
  17. Dying 20 times by normal spikes gives an Achievement
  18. Dying 20 times by falling spikes gives an Achievement
  19. Dying 20 times by mobile spikes gives an Achievement
  20. Dying by waiting 20 minutes in a room gives an Achievement
