I'm really happy you were able to resonate with parts of it and that you found the game enjoyable! Coming out is no easy feat and just like our protagonist faced, it's not a one-and-done process. However, as much of a struggle as it can be and as tiring as it can get having to do it over and over again, it is often usually worth it. I can't say it goes perfectly for everyone and you should always prioritize your safety above all else but at the end of the day, if you feel able and safe to do so, it is often best to face your fears and live your truth. At the end of the day, you are the person who will be there for yourself through any trial or tribulation in life. Why not do your best to make your greatest ally happy? But either way, however you decide to proceed, just know that we wish you the best of luck and hope for you to find love (in this case, platonic), support, family, and community who will be there for you AS you. You can do this!
Our game just released and is definitely stream-friendly if you want to give it a try: https://gemmysystem.itch.io/spring-in-her-step
Thanks and enjoy!
Romance isn't the center of our story but it DOES feature a relationship between the trans female lead and her cis female girlfriend so if you feel it fits, go ahead and add it: https://gemmysystem.itch.io/spring-in-her-step
P.S. It IS SFW!
I can't begin to tell you how much of your story resonated with me. I'm afraid to even let on how much of it I could relate to. But I just wanted you to know that you're not alone and if nothing else, through sharing our stories, maybe we can make things better for people like us. Thank you for this.
Sure! So basically, I had previously set up NVL mode to be centered in the screen, including from top to bottom. This transferred into the phone version and pushed the name and dialogue down where you couldn't see it anymore. Setting things back to the default fixed it, hence why I didn't have the problem in a fresh project. Does that help?
Hey there! I'm trying to use your code but when I put it in my game, I'm having a really weird problem. Despite the history showing that the text is going through for the narrator and the main character, it shows up as blank. However, other characters DO work. Do you happen to know what could be causing this? I'm afraid you might not be able to help because it doesn't seem to do it in a brand-new game, only the one I've been working on for a few months now, but I thought I'd ask, anyway, and see if you have any ideas. Thanks! :)
EDIT: Nvm! I figured it out. It was my padding!
