Oh, no! We're sorry to hear that. We were looking forward to playing your game. Thank you for your submission. We will be doing more game jams in the future, so feel free to follow us and participate next year!

We love your game! Is there any chance you would be available to showcase it with some other participants at the Duluth Public Library in Duluth, GA, on Thursday, December 8th from 6:00-8:00 pm? It'll be small convention-style, so no big public speaking thing. Email us at learninglabs@gwinnettpl.org with your game title in the subject line to discuss it further!
Thanks for participating!

So there aren't any real "winners" of our Game Jam. Those we select for the Showcase and highlight reel we will likely end up doing could be considered winners, though. Once you are ready to submit your game, there is an additional information form you will have to fill out on our website so that we know you are available for the Showcase and that you consent to potentially having your game featured in a highlight reel. That form will be located here, but it's not live yet at the time of this posting.
The GameDev Showcase (Dec 8th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm) at our Duluth location will be a chance for those we select to show off their game to the general public and meet the other developers we selected.
There may be very, very small prizes, but it won't be cash or anything like that.
Great question.
So for our first year, we decided to only allow video games, not board, card, hybrid, etc. You are right that they would have a great presence at our showcase in December, so thank you for expressing interest in producing other types of games for our game jam!
The tools we do have at the library that are available for this year's game jam are things like Photoshop, Illustrator, audio recording studios, Blender, etc.
Thanks for your interest in our game jam! We look forward to seeing what you create!
