That is some strong acceleration down to earth!! The fall rate really clicked once I got that wall jump though :)
Cool game!
Like what Lafferty said, the shop has multiple upgrade options/screens! One of the .gif screenshots submitted to the game showcases the animation and shop effects as well as where to click to switch the page. (Although, getting to, say, sector 10 with only classic upgrades would be a pretty cool challenge >:D)
Really fun game! I wish I could use a & d for movement and/or have hotkeys for purchasing upgrades (I ended up using my nondominant left hand for movement and right hand on mouse), but I got use the controls soon enough. Really neat idea, love the procedural generation, and super cool dithering effect + pixel art! :D
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for playing!! (Apologies about the screen scaling...! A friend actually encountered this, too. In their case, they were zoomed in to the tab from when they were checking out other projects. If you're in the browser and the scaling is off, check if you're zoomed in by looking for a magnifying glass top right of your search bar (on Google))
SO AWESOME!! Definitely one of the most underrated games in the jam that I've seen so far! It's hard, for sure, but wow you sure can stack up some crazy builds. On the "choose an upgrade" screen, I realized I could just spam a number and go into the next round with like 6 more stopwatches haha. Really cool work here! :D
Thank you for playing! Your issue about the background is unfortunate... I added small particles not apart of the backdrop to add atmosphere and resolve this movement issue. In addition, the background is slowly rotating. If you crave speed, try buying the melee movement upgrade along with the ship upgrade! (Trust me, you go fast!) :D
I'm glad you liked the game. Difficulty increases are something I see mentioned a lot and I totally agree! I might make a hard difficulty after the GMTK is over where I can apply awesome feedback such as this :)
I'm also glad to see melee is appreciated and working as intended (switching up the gameplay)!
