This game is great and I can see what it has the potential to be. I am writing a post about it and will be live soon. I played many hours of this game and believe there are some really great things with it. I appreciate the time and effort put into the game and overall did not see a lot of bugs.
I really only saw a single bug. If you buy anything like computers, typewriters etc. If you go bankrupt and then start a new game the item you bought most recently appears on your table instead of being reset to its empty state.
--- Game improvements
On Inspiration -
Any time a player is not actively participating in an activity gives them reason to question why they are playing it. Having the player do nothing to restore inspiration is not fun for the player. Have them play a min-game for resting, maybe they can purchase a game machine to play to give inspiration. Or have them take a walk, find ways to have the player do something to get it back. The vacation path gets too expensive too quickly to keep it viable. Same with researching topics.
On Activities -
Have the player actively participate in items. If they are writing give them quick actions or even type words out on the screen to act like they are actually writing the novel. If they are networking give question dialogue prompts that determine different outcomes from the outing.
Stay in a Genre -
I know you are meant to go into various genres due to market research, but it would a cool path to focus on a single genre via achievements and a path. Allowing people to become famous detective (or other genre) author's allowing more than a single way to play.
There are some balancing that needs to occur, it is hard progress early and if you don't put things in the spot you go bankrupt easily.
Thank you for your work on this game and I can't wait to see the additional updates for this game.
