I'm having some issues with fire button on the C64 Maxi... has anyone else had trouble with fire button working/not working intermittently? At the opening, where there's a lot of dialogue and 'fire' to continue, it starts out ok but even during the first conversation I find the button doesn't register. Then I start doing double-presses, and that sometimes counts as two presses and I miss a speech bubble. I've created a .cjm file mapping the joystick to the keyboard commands (so fire becomes space) but even that doesn't seem to work ideally. (Love the game btw)

Thanks again for your help Fred - made it through with your help!! I was trying to use the box from the ITEMS screen ... but that's not right. Clicking when positioned at the right spot *when facing toward the top of screen* was what finally got me past being stuck.

Oh oh I think I'm in trouble Sarah :(    I split the two grimoires before going to Nineve's barrow for the second time - I wanted to make some more health potions... in splitting them, Briley's only got the 1st in her inventory. So in the barrow I've got the 1st and 3rd... am I meant to have all three to escape?? If so... I'm a bit stuck :( :(     (loving the game btw :) :)

Hey Sarah + community... I'm stuck!! :( 

I need to go to the deep forest to confront the dark spirit... but I think I've been all over the map (and visited "the forest" twice)... where should I go? When I speak to Clarissa she says to go to the forest, and REMIND tells me to go to the deep forest/dark spirit etc etc... Is the forest north of the Baxter's and the deep forest one and the same??? aaaaaarghghgh :)   (loving the game p.s.)

Hi Sarah, minor thing but I happened to visit the beehive for the first time while Smokey was off scouting the town (looking into the ill villagers mystery)... under those circumstances there's a small bug in that Briley has a chat with Smokey even though he's not there 😀
