Atmosphere is great; sprite work is solid and the story is short and sweet. Though I will say that some of the relevant gameplay features are not very obviously and did not go explained. (unless I somehow missed the explanation; then that's on me) I didn't immediately realise that I had ammo for my melee or that I needed to pick up coal(?) to refill it. the holy water bottle seems to be a light healing item, I don't think it conveys that with its sprite the best. If you changed its main colour to be red I think that it might connect it better to heart (which is the other healing item if I'm not mistaken); it being red might convey that is blood or something which would help with it being better associated with the other item.

The gameplay is good but the ground is a bit cluttered with all the items everywhere. I think turning down the amount of items would help with the clutter but also increase scarcity and stakes. that along with decreasing player health and the crawly guys health could make the player more cautious in gameplay and therefore more tense throughout the experience.

This was quite good and I enjoyed it you can disregard my ideas if you feel it doesn't fit your vision for the game. have a good one!
