For those experiencing material issues when importing assets into Unreal Engine, here is a fix that worked for me. Start by creating a new material in Unreal Engine, then drag your texture file directly into the material's node graph. From there, connect the RGB output pin of the texture node to the Base Color input pin of the main material node. Once that connection is made, apply it and assign the newly created material to your character and the issue should be resolved.
