yeah! I love it! physics based movement is super cool! one thing could be added - the engine thrust! Congratulation!

Thanks, but I recommend to play Steam version, not this one here 😉

I grew up with C64 and Airowlf ;-) Fantastic game. Today, there are no such games... Your game looks OK ;-) Gives the same retro vibe. I decided to do my own (like you did!) version of AirWolf. OK, not exactly the same version, but I was inspired by the AirWolf. I jump off the retro style, and move an action to the modern 3D world. To be consistent with the original, I kept a 2D character, so as a result, my game is 2.5D. Moreover, I decided to get rid of shooting, but introduced more challenges in maneuvering. The title of my game is Rescue Heli RH407 and more recent version is on Steam (on itch is not updated one) - pls have a look and tell me how you like it (or not). Cheers!

I grew up with C64 and Airowlf ;-) Fantastic game. As a fan o the Commodore family, I have to admit that the C64 version was (is!) far better than Amstrad one ;-) And the original was released in 1984 by SEGA.

Your game looks OK ;-) Gives the same retro vibe. Today, there are no such games... so I decided to do my own (like you did!). BUT in my case, I jump off the retro style, and move an action to the modern 3D world. To be consistent with the original, I kept a 2D character, so as a result, my game is 2.5D. I played Airwolf on C64, not on Amstrad :P anyway, I love this game ;-) So decided to make my own version of it (modern one, in retro style but with moder twist). Check out my profile if you are interested ;-) Also: looking for Artist to make a music loops for my game - interested in collaboration? Cheers!

Airwolf C64 version was my best game ever ;-) Inspired by a game from my youth, decided to make my own, retro-inspired helicopter game - check up my profile here ;-)

nice one! I felt like a pilot of.... RC model! and that's good! Standing in a backyard, fighting with an imaginary enemies - it reminds me times, when I was a kid. And that's cool - I think there could be audience for that. A bit hard to aim, but plus for navigation (and an idea of not beeing crashed by groud). Hint: maybe an indicator, whrere the enemy is? a radar or something? Keep working, cheers!

Wow, I'm impressed 👍 👍 👍

Funny! Well done ;-)

Simple and fun! I deal with 2 of 3 quests - couldn't find the 3rd task (no text hints?). Anyway, I like it 😉

Indeed - looks good... but what else? Basic player controller, no HUD, no equipment, no inventory, no story at all... no optimization...  only big, fat textures :P nothing more.... at the moment, I hope so ;-) so keep working, will see how you progress. Best!

Nice pics! what licence? CC0? or what? Best!

Nice one! I survived 2 waves ;-) Could be more interesting with limited ammo, and a collectable mags randomly spawn on a field. Cheers!

Good work! Kinda demanding, but gives fun after a bit of practice! I liked the most a way to control a heli - with a mouse buttons plus a keyboard. Pls consider my few remarks:

1) I tried three times before my first successful take off. Why three? In the "flight school" you haven't mentioned abt 1,2,3 keys to start the engine! Only 'c' key, which apparent didn't work at all. So I couldn't fly. But I liked what I could see and tried once more, reading carefully the instructions - but still, not a single word abt 1,2,3 keys (as u see - I played on keyboard).

2) add  instructions from "flight school" to the game page, could be usefull

3) technical one: you have prepared the project in Forward+ renderer, but my laptop with i915 for some reasons got some problems and I got only ~30 FPS! but I noticed this:

MESA-INTEL: warning: Performance support disabled, consider sysctl dev.i915.perf_stream_paranoid=0

Vulkan API 1.2.182 - Forward+ - Using Vulkan Device #0: Intel - Intel(R) UHD Graphics (CML GT2)

Requested V-Sync mode: Disabled
Project FPS: 38 (26.31 mspf)
Project FPS: 38 (26.31 mspf)

As you see it tells "Forward+". So in a command line I added

--rendering-driver opengl3

and switched to OpenGL (not Vulcan). That gave me 60 FPS.

So I like your work. Keep going with the project!

interesting from the vid)... but I'll wait till Linux version. Best!

Hey! super difficult ;P also no full screen option. But that's only beginning, right? Cheers!

good start! keep going!

Thx, I made it! I got rescued one man! ;-) So why not to write about this on the main game page? Would be more clear for players.

And then went to the left, deep down and found another heliport. Nice it "saved" my position, yeah! But I know why is so hard to play - I play on web :P with super small window only. Pls consider Linux version, probably it's just one more click in Unity.

Anyway - for "some" reasons I like the idea. I think you could make it more playable, but this is your game, your shoes ;-)

You've made my game be as fun as I wonna! Many thx! https://g-rexgames.itch.io/rescue-heli-rh407

Hi, looks interesting, but it's kinda difficult game. I tried several times and been killed in a few seconds. Did you consider lower the difficulty level?
Colaiders are so sensitive! BTW: how to gen the guy on board? No luck so far... Best!

ha ha ha! nostalgia! I like the direction you are going, but pls add more fun. how? I don't know, it's your game ;-)

how to run it? pls consider to add an info (Linux version)

Nice try. Keep going ;-)

Vivid colours and fun to play! I like it!

no Linux version? what a shame... Best!

Good game. Well polished. Nice job! Q: why not on Steam? Best!

Looks good, welll done! My suggestion are: 1) add fullscreen mode, or 2) keep mouse cursor inside the game window, 3) change mouse cursor from default to customer one. Best!

Nice! I would like it more if you could add more charges (not only one). Keep going!

;-) yeah, nice start!

Decided to get rid of colors on clocks — thx for the suggestions, Maciek and Maja.

Hi! nice work. Simple and fun. Congrats! I liked the idea with burning house and ppl on the roof ;-)

(1 edit)

Looking good! old style, I love C=64 vibe ;-)
