The wild dittos is a half-baked idea, its suppose to mean that the Pokémon you thought you caught is in fact a Ditto in disguise.
It should only happen on Pokémon you already caught once. In its current state it's slightly too easy to trigger and it feels weird because it's part of a bigger feature not yet implemented that is supposed to make sense of it all.
As you can see, the last update was some time ago. We are a very small team with full-time jobs and currently very busy.
Still we are proud of this little doodle of the game we have and wish to work on a big update to fully flesh out the whole thing.
Best forecast? I can't tell, but we hope to catch some free time in the summer.
