Unfortunately while updating the game I have introduced a bug that will give a softlock on the bad ending which triggers while searching the fountain. I'm glad you still found the true ending though and that it works!
If you are interested we are currently working on a more fleshed out version since this was done in 7 days and we cut a lot of corners and rushed.
