It took me 7 hours in total to complete the game, and I mean completely complete it. Going through the game the first time was a rush, and I actually cried at certain parts and revolted in horror at others. I love games that can invest me in its characters, and DDLC did that for me.
After that first time, though, I knew there was more and went through every character's interactions using the poems and stuff. The first time I only focused on Sayori, so I didn't get to fully appreciate Yuri and Natsuki. Obviously this is the greatest sin you can commit in a visual novel, so I played through their bits all the way, and was blessed with closure that really hit me in the feel good zone.
A lot of love was put into the game, and that's very very clear. I'm currently studying Computer Science, and would absolutely love to create something like this that can speak to others like DDLC has spoken to me. I'm sad that there isn't more to play (besides Monika's secret "ending"), but all of us will be members of the Literature Club for good.
