so if some of yall dont already know, to patch the game all you have to do is: extract the rar file move all files inside it to Android/data/oldcat.echoes/game if the game folder doesn't exist create it and move the files there and thats it, after that load your last save and click start after ep 1

(if you cant access Android/data: install Shizuku from playstore

go to settings > about phone > software information > spam click build number to enable developers option

open shizuku 

click pairing

click developers option

scroll down and click wireless debugging and enable it

click pair device with pairing code

enter the code provided by shizuku from notifications

after pairing start shizuku

open Zarchiver app (download if not have)(

    from Zarchiver go to settings > ROOT > Type.        root access > shizuku/sui

    enable all options from there too

go back to shizuku click authorized applications enable Zarchiver

you don't have to delete the apk just install the s2 apk(update) so the saves from s1 remains

isn't that how it supposed to be? considering their last save is near the end of season 1 (and the whole apk only contains the start and end of season 2 so loading a save from season 1 won't do anything since it's literally separate now. ), 

The game will continue to season 2 just like how i had no problem proceeding  and finishing season 2 update by starting new game it will then load the data from the latest save file from s1 allowing you to continue or play season 2(i think). (Btw i love this game sm!, can't wait for liam or Rule B to wield his own knife!

thats not a problem you're not supposed to load saves from the previous version it wont work, you're supposed to be done with the first season first then update the app with the season two apk then start new game the game will continue
