Really good use of incremental mechanics! The pacing was great, and the structure matches the narrative perfectly. Good job on the aesthetics too, everything really comes together quite well. Funny and concise, great work!

Chasing the upgrades felt pretty good. Once I was sending my shit halfway across the screen oneshotting stains it didn't matter that Rattnoi only got paid $4. Loved the sprite of the rat and his walking/sweeping animations, nice use of limited animation. Neat wavy backgrounds as well. Funny game, good work!
I can see this becoming something pretty engaging, what was there made me want to move forward already. The loot made me want to equip, the quests/levels made me want to get stronger, the fat stacks of cash I accumulated made me want to buy more items. I'd say you could keep going on this and make a fun little progression game.
Really fantastic. Great puzzle foundation, level progression, and I LOVE that the world map is also a puzzle. I was thinking about how I was going to solve it before I even unlocked all the nodes, which made it feel great to finally get to execute the solution. It concludes the structure and brings the theming home!
Thanks for the feedback! I would like to return to this project in the future, as the features we missed were the parts that made it into an actual game lol. I really wish we had put in those mechanics early! We wanted to have the player throw their own dice onto the battlefield, and then make some decisions for the combat roll. Conveying the info to the player also ended up being harder than anticipated, like you said. I'm still happy with it though, and it was fun to make haha. Glad you liked it!
