Definitely brought me back to the peak days of flash games, even the little backstory fits (the username gave me a chuckle).

It would be cool to see you expand it into something bigger, maybe additional animations/artworks for when Grub is doing the different activities.

Overall, a very charming and cute little game!

Everyone else already said what I wanted to say, but do want you to know I read this in one sitting, which is really rare due to concentration problems. The character development is so well written, and I seriously appreciate how the self-harm is depicted in a way that’s not for shock value or intended to make the reader uncomfortable.

Your games are truly something special and I look forward to playing through all of them eventually.

I will admit the game is quite rushed and I mainly focused on trying to make something that's at least comprehensible, but I shall keep that in mind should I ever expand the game in the future!

As for the error, could you please tell me whether it was a problem that persisted throughout the game, or only at specific segments (and if so, where exactly)?

I'm asking because I tested it again after reading your review and all assets showed up fine for me.
