What's the difference between the free version and the paid version? Is the free version just a demo?

I have a faint memory of her giving me some tasks during a session, but I didn’t see it in the task menu so I didn’t worry too much about it, though I could be wrong. It kinda just happened overnight. Hope this helps :)
