Super fun and a nice idea. Would be nice to hear the rhythm of the next section before you have to do it, but after like one more section you get the hang of it.

I Have my speed run on the home page, if any of you beat that feel free to post it :)

I'm happy you enjoyed it! thanks for playing!

Thank you so much for playing! I was really going for Cowboy bebop vibes especially for the music ( there's music its just off by default :/ i'm dumb

Lmao i think you accidentally posted the game files

Very pretty but like the title suggests, no way to continue after the tutorial information :(

Neat idea but its pretty easy to soft lock yourself and the camera is hard to move. The visuals are interesting and the little guys are fun to watch. nice work!

Super fun and cute,  circling enemies is pretty fun and its nice and challenging. Great work!

Yeah i get that, it is a game jam so it is a lot to ask to play through a whole tutorial, i'm glad you're having fun! thanks for playing!

if you get stuck you can try looking at the playthrough I posted (there are timestamps), have you playe through the tutorial? you just have to kill all the enemies then grab the crystal. Make sure to play the tutorial. - To kill enemies left click to lasso them, then swing your mouse to the side to fling them into a wall. they will die on contact.

Genuinely just wow, it is a crime that this game doesn't have 10k reviews this is amazing. I feel like I'm messing around with a new teenage engineering instrument its so fun. Getting to the higher levels and playing my keyboard like a . . . keyboard is so fun, genuinely no notes i just wish there was more. Absolutely spectacular work i really hope you win.

Fun and silly idea, having a more quake-style movement where you can really add speed the better you get could be fun, as well as a timer for loops. But hey, i made a speedrunning game so im a bad influence lol. great work

Made me smile, what else do you need

Very pretty, the audio makes picking stuff up rewarding, overall super fun, but i do with there was more danger, you can kind of just run around with no consequences currently.

Super duper fun, clicking as fast as i can when there's a food piece coming is so funny, good times.

Thanks for playing! Yeah as it says in the tutorial getting hit by enemies or using your lasso makes you lose rope, you then have 3 seconds to find some more or you lose.

I tried fixing the squish but alas i am a weaker developer than the squash lol, i just put a kill box just in case.

Audio is great, the game idea is a cool idea but gameplay is slightly limited and clunky, but overall this game made me smile. Super fun, great work.(ALSO YEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWW COWBOY GAME WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE)

YEEEEEHAWWWW ANOTHER GENIUS LASSO IDEA GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE

Very fun idea! zooming around is super fun, but the map design doesn't match the fast face, there are many bottlenecks where you lose any momentum. Overall a cute and silly idea, nice work! (ps i made a speedrunning game too lol)

Very enjoyable game, great puzzles and many ways to solve them. The only thing that really bugged me was that you have to wait for your rewound self to walk allllllllllllllll the way back in real time. I also wish there were more levels but there is a time limit after all lol, great work :)

For me the browser controlls worked just fine

Very cute and fun! it can be a little challenging getting a proper ring since the early enemies are still quite fast, but making a circle around a large group of enemies is very satisfying :)

Of course! I really want to see this game get even cuter than it already is so its basically selfish lol

The platforming all feels good but its kind of hard to tell where the player is in the air? I hate to try and give a solution but maybe a blob shadow could help, like a little shadow that is directly beneath the player at all times, even though its less realistic its usually added to platformers to make it more clear where you are in a 3D space, BUT I'm not you so take that as you wish

When drifting my car turned onto its side, but I was going slow enough that I was still able to exit the car.  The car was still floating at a diagonal  mid air-ill attatch a screenshot.

Not technically a bug but it was enough that idk if it belongs in feedback, at least on my computer the sensitivity of the crosshair in the museum was so unbelievably high that I thought I had to press a button to have a cursor or something, not game breaking because i could just lower my sens as low as it goes but it was a little bit weird

This game is so absolutely adorable it hurts, I love waddling around and talking to all the NPCs its so much fun. The camera is a bit weird sometimes though because the range you can move it up and down is very limited. Also you should add quake movement so I can bunny hop to the dinosaur bones (jk).

When moving the camera quickly it is sometimes possible to clip the camera through things.

Tested cases:

  • The hill right behind Tori when the game first starts up.
  • The houses in the town

ooooh lucky lucky look at this tut i found

You should be able to install any itch.io game using the itch app on the Chromebook >:3 (I think) good luck!

hmmm that's weird, let me try and figure out the correct way to do this

Okay its a little complicated but you're probably going to have to install Linux on your Chromebook (you can just google a tutorial), then you can use commands to manually install the file, which should work? That's what I did to install Minecraft on my sisters computer, and I assume the process should be the same. So maybe try googling a tutorial for installing Minecraft on a Chromebook, but when they get to the part where it says something like "Copy the command pip/install/minecraft" or whatever, try replacing that with the ultrakill files? I'm not sure :/ good luck :0

Super fun! only issue I have run into so far is sudden lag spikes when opening cards, when a scene is loaded, and when the player turn is started. It doesn't seem others are having this issue so it might be an outdated driver on my end, but I also have a quite potato laptop, so it could also be some minor performance issues. Overall very polished and enjoyable, super exited to see what comes next!

This game is great! amazing puzzle design and genius mechanic to be able to perfectly utilize the limitations of Pico-8 without losing gameplay.

This is super fun and well made, great job!

Super fun! but also I don't know if I can forgive you for not making an ending where we don't kill all the little robots :,( great job using sound design and lighting to make moments feel tense and urgent, even though there's seemingly no actual time limit. The controls feel amazing and I'm almost upset there's not more tight platforming using the mechanics. The only minor gripe I have with them is that with the dash ability it seems that your directional input is eaten sometimes whenever you hold down the directional key right after you activate the ability. As long as you wait a second before you try to move it works perfect, so that could just be a skill issue on my part, but maybe something to mess around with if you feel like changing it post jam. But then again, that didn't really affect my gameplay that much, I just had to figure out what was happening and get the timing down.

P.S. Its embarrassing but I did cry when the EMP turned on when I saw the child robot, great voice work, I also spent like 30 minutes trying to find a way to not have to break through the floor at the end

Thank you so much! This really made my day, I appreciate you taking the time to type that out!

Thanks so much for recording that! I might change some things like adding respawn points, health points, and making the map make more sense. Thanks again!
