Comsos Explorer 1.2.1 update is out on both itch.io and Game Jolt! What's new:

Features:

- Added volumetric ring fade effect

- Improved ring rock spawning

- Improved the calculation of ring shadows on planets

- Changed the appearance of the planetary rings of the planets and Haumea in the solar system

- Changed the appearance of the black holes

- Removed pause menu blur effect (will get a rework)


Bugs Fixed:

- Fixed that black holes in the center of a galaxy was buggy

- Fixed Jupiter's rotation wasn't correct

- Fixed depth probleme when looking to a planet from far away

- Fixed that star prominence couldn't be controlled with time

- Fixed that stars didn't rotate

Every planetary ring you will discover will have tiny rings inside! You can now explore them in the new update!

I implemented the new ring system into the universe! Every planetary ring will have this new feature.


I am working on volumetric rings update! The rocks will spawn perfectly inside the ring as you can see (the screenshots below this text). Currently, the rocks are small, but not realistic or very small. The total rock count is 50000000, which is high, but I want to try to make it even higher, since real planetary rings has way more rocks than 50000000. I also need to add shadows, planetary ring scattering and also maybe trying to improve the performance, even if I get almost 90 FPS inside the Unity Editor on my RTX 3070 with 8 GB VRAM. Even if the performance is currently good, it needs almost 4 GB of VRAM to render 60000000 rocks. I will also try to reduce the VRAM usage so lower GPUs can also handle it.

I fixed a bug and updated the ZIP files for version 0.0.9 Alpha! I also made one change to the game's Graphics API. The ZIP files are updated on both itch.io and Game Jolt! Here is the changelog:

- The Graphics API for Windows will be set automaticly depends on your PC specifications.

- Fixed that the camera couldn't be closed.

0.0.9 Alpha is out on both itch.io and Game Jolt! What is new:

- Added death cutscenes for all animatronics.

- When the game ends, all players are going back to the lobby, instead to the main menu.

- Improved all the animations.

- Improved sound effects.

- No jittering when looking around.

- Fixed some bugs.


For the next update, which will be 0.1 Beta, I am going to improve the UI and the performance, fixing bugs and making some other changes to make the game more modern!

I updated the ZIP files on both itch.io and Game Jolt, because I am using a new APP on Photon, which is better than the old one.

 0.0.8 Alpha is out on both itch.io and Game Jolt! What is new:

- Added abilities for Freddy, Bonnie and Chica. Foxy already had one.

  - Freddy: Can place his hat and teleport to it.

  - Bonnie: Can be invisible in cameras for 10 seconds.

  - Chica: Can place her cupcake and use it as camera.

  - Foxy: Can run very fast.

- Added a weakness to Foxy. His eyes can be damaged when the night guard is pointing his flashlight to Foxy's eye.

- Removed player name in the game.

- Changed the UI in ready menu.

- Fixed performance is bad when touching the broom and bucket in supply closet.

- Fixed some bugs.

0.0.7 Alpha is out on both itch.io and Game Jolt! What is new:

  • Added camera system. You can open it only in the office by pressing the space bar.
  • Camera light in camera system. Pressing left shift activates camera light to see better while looking to the map. The animatronics can see your activated light.
  • Camera system and camera light are consuming battery usage too. When door and lights are open, the camera is open and the camera light is open, the "|" turns magenta.
  • Lowered the lights intensity in the map a bit.
  • Improved performance.
  • Fixed a few bugs.

0.0.6 Alpha is out on both itch.io and Game Jolt! What is new:

- Added master volume setting.

- Added low and medium shadow quality settings.

- Improved kill system. The distance for killing the night guard got increased and the night guard can't be behind a wall and must be in animatronic's view to get killed.

- Improved performance a bit.

- Fixed the normal of the wall mesh in the map.

What is that?

it's not a malware, you are right, but it is bad (it's in alpha stage)

0.0.5 Alpha is out on both itch.io and Game Jolt! What is new:

- Occlusion culling is used to improve performance.

- Added mouse sensitivity.

- Improved look control.

- Changed the toggle "3D Backround" to "3D Background", a small mistake from me.

- Fixed global illumination is not enabling in the main menu, when 3D background is enabled.

Black holes are now Kerr-Newman instead of Schwarzschild. The kerr spin value is random set from 0 to 0.99. Kerr charge stays at 0.

0.0.4 Alpha is out on both itch.io and Game Jolt! What is new:

- Added 3d backround to the main menu.

- Improved the scene in the ready menu.

- Changed a few materials of the FNaF #1 map.

- Maximum players decreased to 5.

- No more multiple same characters.

- Lobbies can't be nameless anymore.

- Only lobbies with the same game version will be shown.

0.0.3 Alpha is out on both itch.io and Game Jolt! What is new:

- Windows 32-bit support.

- The night guard runs a little less. 

- Nerfed Foxy.

- Buffed Freddy.

- Made Bonnie and Chica a bit faster.

- To run you have to hold down the left shift button instead of pressing it once.


It might still be hard to make it to 6 AM as a night guard, but at least it’s easier now.

Version 0.0.2 alpha is finally out and has new features!

Changelog:

- Added lobby information in the lobby with lobby name, lobby region and lobby player count!

- Added region dropdown to change the region!

- Added maximum player count slider to change the maximum player count of the lobby! The slider value can be changed from 1 to 10!

- Changed the camera position in the lobby menu when you are ready to see all players at once, even yourself!

After 2.5 years, 1.0 update is finally finished and is free to download! That means Cosmos Explorer is now out of beta! The update is also on Game Jolt out. Link is Space Simulation and Cosmos Explorer by Foxy Space - Game Jolt!

If you are in orbit mode, you can use scroll wheel to zoom in and out. "I"and "O" to change the FOV of the Camera. "I" to lower the FOV and "O" to higher the FOV.

WASD to move and mouse to look.

Yeah, because the performance improved a lot.
