Disclaimer: I received this for free but am doing my best to review fairly here. It's well worth 2 dollars even just for the music alone.
If you're a fan of rpgmaker games, and games like pokemon, earthbound, LoZ, maybe even stardew valley, then this game should be a refreshing yet nostalgic experience. Purgatory explores themes of morality, honesty, self-acceptance and accountability, and is a twist on the classic hero's journey tale with fishing, real-time combat, and adorable characters.
Overall I've enjoyed this game a lot. This game is in development, there are unfinished elements, things are still subject to change and expansion. It's not perfected, but the efforts of 1 person primarily have gone into all of the music and majority of the custom coding on the RPGVXAce engine. I'm excited to see how this develops moving forward!
