i'm so glad you enjoyed! hopefully you'll be able to build for longer soon <3

Thanks! I didnt get to spend much time balancing, but almost all of that time was spent making spamming only snares not 100% the unquestionably best strategy haha. Its tough, as by default its much stronger to invest in one type than spread notes out. Ive got lots of ideas though yeah - definitely gonna get more interesting soon <3

thanks! yeah, for sure, its easy to misplay and thats punished pretty harshly since you cant sell. i dont think that'd be too problematic alone but it definitely is combined with no tutorial, some bugs and wack balancing haha. all that will be fixed in good time \o/ (or at least most of it :p) im glad you liked it <3

Thanks! The towers and noted are largely colour coordinated - well the bass tower is more blue than the green notes it is assigned, but for the other three i think i colour picked the sprites?

you knew what you were doing with that clickbait ass title lmfao. 10/10 game; creative use of the theme, solid puzzles, fitting audio/visuals and i properly giggled when it told me how many kilojoules that im providing to those poor freezing families. my only fault is that like another commenter said you couldve done with explaining over/underflow, but tbh its not too hard to figure out and a huge chunk of your playerbase for a jam is programmers so its all good. Apart from that I think the explanation was really well done ^^

Thanks! Yeah, its definitely not the easiest to figure out :p. An explanation is in the description, but like, who reads the description XD. Tutorial is definitely one of my priorities to add soon <3

oh huh, i just looked closer at your screenshot, you arent even talking about the same bug i had :P. on my computer, while the game said it was playing me bar 3 in the preview, the bar 4 audio was actually being played. this is the bug that is also in future levels for me, the early bars of the level after are also affected im pretty sure, im not sure what else. I assume this is a niche bug that only affects certain users

thank you for the response, and no need to apologise haha. its a game jam, all our games have bugs :). yeah i ended up figuring out what was wrong, but the puzzle after also seemed to have a similar issue, the wrong bar was being shown to me. might be a bug that only affects some users though. id love to finish the game after the jam if you could push out a patch :)

This is one of my favourite games i've tested yet! I love rhythm games, but in too many of them you just play the melody. As a drummer, im always looking for ones that better match the vibe than that. You guys did a really good job of it here - i love that we get to play multiple parts at once, and the game does a good job of introducing it. The artwork is lovely too - i especially like the UI design <3. I had issues with audio sync, but it was partly just my laptop speakers i think as it was much better when i put headphones on. Was still a bit off but like, ive played released games with worse haha. It would be better with more songs but hey, its a game jam, maybe if you keep working on  it :3

Love it! the art and music is excellent, and the puzzles were pretty well designed :) unfortunately i seem to have encountered a  bug that meant I couldn't really finish the game - from feelin beachy onwards (i think? whichever one was before all mine) the bar that I was played was different to the bar displayed as playing. In that first level I mentioned, the music preview button showed that it was playing bar 3, and i spent ages trying different things and it became clear it was impossible - the bar being shown to me was actually bar 4. I would have loved to play more, ill have to keep an eye on the project <3 apart from that it was excellent!

i believe you can press the music note button in the bottom right to hear the preview again. it doesnt end it for me when i move the mouse though so idk

hell yeah, more music games <3 this was really fun, i love it! The music really works and i like the design of the spinning laser enemies, they felt really good to fight. one criticism is that it was difficult to keep track of the different patterns at once with different enemies shooting at different times, an indicator would be nice. id love to see this game developed a little further, with a bit more time and polish it could really shine ^^

meow :3

interesting take on the theme, i didnt expect anything like this. the whole game is really sweet, i love it :)

This is cute! I like how you implemented the clock. I struggled to figure out the controls though (Enter to interact, for anyone else wondering <3)

oh wow, this is amazing! the art is so good, and the game as a whole is really intuitive and introduces the difficulty very well. im not sure how well it reflects the theme, although its not what i expected so its definitely a creative use of it :)

Nice work! I really love the art style, the cat is so cute <3 I just wish there was more levels - definitely a concept that could be expanded on, with more tracks, or different shaped pieces or elements on the tracks :)

I'm glad you liked it <3. For sure a lot of polish needed though i agree, i reeeally pushed the scope as far as i could haha. Just letting you know as i posted it after you commented, ive added a discord link in the desc. where ill put more info about the game if i work on it more :)

Omg I'm honoured, thank you so much!! All the above is planned and more :) I figured id drop a discord since you and others have expressed interest, info in the description ^^

READ ME <3

Gotten a lot of positive feedback already, and multiple people have expressed interest in seeing me continue to develop the game. This was the plan anyway, so I figure ill drop the discord for my (ex) main project so i can keep you all up to date. Its very bare bones and made for my other game - dont worry, revamp coming soon. See you there!

Wow, this is a lot harder than it looks! (to hit things at least)(thats a good thing). Very creative idea, i enjoyed :) The biggest issue i have is the sound effects volume honestly, it meant i couldnt vibe to the music :p

Nice work! I really enjoyed playing this - it does a lot with a very simple concept. At times i ran into something that looked like a bug, like the donut machine clogged for example, but little things like that that i had to correct were fun and really added to it <3

Thank you, i appreciate the feedback :). Yeah, it ended up being quite a fun idea to work with <3. For sure a lot to manage though, yeah - although maybe there could be ways to offset that, like difficulty options?. I do plan on developing it further - i enjoyed making it much more than i enjoy my main project, so itll probably replace it haha. Ill do a post on my profile when that starts if you wanna keep an eye, if thats how itch works? edit: nope, just join the discord (i added it to the description) if you wanna stay up to date <3
