I got a game breaking bug that softlocks me during the "boss" phase every time out of ~10 tries so far. I click the same rune as the boss shows me, but there is no attack happening and I'm just stuck there. I can't do anything to the boss and just die due to timeout.

I know this is an old game and is unlikely to be fixed, but it would be great if you could take a look at it or at least tell me how to fix it.

Other than that it's a great game, as always! I've played the majority of your games so far and really enjoyed them!

Edit: Sometimes it registers a couple of hits, but then it just disables my ability to attack. Am I doing something wrong?

Edit 2: More details about this bug: Basically the boss shows you the same rune over and over instead of shuffling them and then you can't attack...

Anyone knows how to get clue #6? I have found 12 out of 13 clues and I have no idea where it is after spending more than an hour searching for it.

I tried spying on the buttler, but he just talks to the Administrator and that's it. Everything else can be found by just exploring a bit.

Any ideas or tips?

Hello. I've played through your game and would like to add some feedback and ask some questions.

Is there a guide? Or at least a map? How many endings are there?

I somehow managed to finish this game on easy, but it feels like I missed a lot of content. I haven't found notes 4 and 6 (but got most of them 1 through 9). I don't know where to find the pickaxe for the crystals. I don't know how to open the door to the left of the golden door, near the book. There is also a door with the Tree symbol and some red sarcophagus with dripping blood and a skull symbol next to it. Maybe there is something else I missed, but I don't feel like replaying it at the moment.

I've tried playing on higher difficulties, but I didn't like the permanent death of the flashlight mechanic. It feels like there is not enough torches in the game for this mechanic to be viable. Especially at the bottom (obsidian?) levels.

I tested insane difficulty and it feels literally impossible even if you know where to go. The flashlight capacity is like 2 minutes?

My suggestion is that you add a readme file with tips and all the necessary info for players who want 100% exploration to know what to do.

Other than that this game has potential and with a bit of polishing and/or rebalancing of some key mechanics it could be close to a commercial indie release.

Good luck with your next projects! Hoping for a reply from your regarding a guide of some sorts.

There are several frustrating bugs and problems in the game, one of the bugs actually completely breaks the game.

1.Usually when you are underlevelled and try to visit level 2 the design differs from level 1, and enemies have 400+ hp, however when you visit level 2 while overlevelled the HP of enemies is from Level 1 (40-90) and the design of the level is closer to the first level (It's missing the glitchy textures)

2.When you are overlevelled and try to visit Level 3 (Boss) you are just stuck in an infinite loading screen, making it impossible to fight the boss and/or see the ending.

3.The default weapon (hand) is faster than ANY of the weapons I've found so far. Even if I occasiaonally find an axe that has +14 DMG, it's so slow that the DPS is actually lower than the hand.

4. It's impossible to properly farm for weapons, because the spawn rate of the files is frustratingly low. And since you can't get to the item pool of Level 2 (if it exists), because of the problem #1 I mentioned above, the game becomes a tedious grind.

I know this would take a lot of time to fix and rebalance, but PLEASE at least fix problem #1 and #2. This would at least make the game beatable.

Good luck with your next projects!

Great game. I enjoyed it a lot.

But how do I get ending 1?

Endings 2 and 3 were easy to find.

I have a small idea. Maybe it's related to "The Forgotten" somehow? Like if you stare at it long enough something will happen? If not, then maybe green flasks? Or are they just an upgraded version of red flask?

Update: The Forgotten idea doesn't work...

Update 2: I found a secret door in the throne room BEFORE crossing the bridge. It's on the right side near a broken pillar. I can't open the secret door, though, but I know that it's there because of the layout or "stitches" in the wall texture. I think it might be related to the ending 1 somehow, BUT you can't return to the other side, because the bridge becomes broken when you defeat the final boss.

If any of you know how to open that secret door, please let me know.

FINAL UPDATE! I FINALLY FOUND IT!!! At the very beginning go towards the sword, BUT DON'T TAKE IT. Instead turn around and open the secret door in front of the sword. Now go towards the chest. Turn Right and walk through the wall. Now go upstairs and through another invisible wall... I won't spoil the ending, but it's worth it :D

For some reason pressing the button to kill the alien does nothing in my game.

I tried both e, v and other combinations of buttons. I've restarted  the game from the beginning but the button simply doesn't work.

What could be the problem and how to fix it?

Update: After couple more restarts and exiting the app it finally worked! You might want to check what is the source of  the problem though.

Good luck with future releases!

Great game!

Small spoiler:

If you beat the certain hard part where a creature is slowly approaching you from the back, you get "Pro gamer unlocked" text.

How many levels are there in total? After several hours of struggling I got to level 20, but it seems impossible past that point. Somewhere around level 16 the projectile amount and randomness gets too complicated to actually plan anything. At one point the game becomes pure luck...

Other than that it was a great game! Very addicting! Frustrating, hard, but definitely addicting :D

UPDATE: After even more hours of struggling I FINALLY BEAT LEVEL 20 and to my surprise there was level 21, but no enemies spawn and only spikes spawn infinitely. It seems level 20 is the final, and 21 is just a placeholder or something...

How do you get ending 1/4? It's rather easy to figure out ending 2, and endings 3 and 4 are obvious, and most players will get either of them by default.

I have seen the dev's comment on one of the videos that there is a duck somewhere in the level. Have anyone of you found it? It's probably related to the ending somehow.

Also, I'm seriously struggling with hard mode. Been stuck on it for several hours. I would really appreciate any tips/tricks/hints for this one.

What is the secret on the game over screen? I have already beaten the game so I'm not afraid of spoilers.

In Exigent Mechanic Iteration, is it possible to get on top? After I reached a checkpoint on a slanted beam, I wasn't able to progress. The checkpoint is located ~80% near the top. It seems impossible to progress further as the beams aren't low enough and the double jump isn't high enough. It's like there is 1 beam missing or something.

Also whenever you die and spawn on that checkpoint, it automatically slides you down towards water. It's fixable by rotating mouse and directionally jumping as soon as you spawn.

Update: Well… Problem solved. It magically teleported me on top after failing the impossible jump many times.
