Step in the shoes of Roro, young woman tormented by overwhelming feelings of fear and sorrow that gets trapped inside of her twisted psyche: https://focogos-studio.itch.io/psychota

Spell-climbing

In PSYCHOTA you can climb anywhere using Spirit Spear spell! Use it to traverse perilous environments and avoid falling to your death.

Fight for your life

Get a hang of Psychic Blade that will not only allow you to explore darkest places of Roro's psyche by illuminating your path, but will also be your only way to stand your ground against twisted creatures that inhabit it.

Hide for your life

Some enemies you will encounter will be too tough to be faced heads on. Use your wits to sneak past them and escape.

From 2D to 3D

PSYCHOTA started as a 2D top-down adventure mainly inspired by Hyper Light Drifter. Well, as you can see, now it's very different from where we began. You can learn about how this transition happened in our first devlog of PYSCHOTA.

Love the art style!

damn
I was curious of finding a nice way to play the game on steamdeck. If I get to it I will definitely upload the linux build tested on my deck!

Hey Kai! Thanks a lot for giving the game a try and constructive feedback :)

Your meters feedback is super useful. Reading it I thought: damn, why we didn't think of it ourselves hahah! Guess it definitely has something to do with how focused you get on actually finishing the game for the jam so such little neat details escape your attention.

Also I like your audio cues idea, this will allow to keep players' attention on the stave while communicating to them that they are entering danger zone of losing the game and need to catch up with a stat. And the numbers on the dots make a lot of sense as well, will definitely make it easier to perform new melodies and I don't think it will trivialize the game challenge.
