also i found a bug. if start a level with fire flower power up and then lose and then hit a checkpoint and you press "retry" you will spawn at the checkpoint with the fire flower like you started the level with it

sorry i ment what do 1 up do? i have bin collecting them and i notice no change

question what do lives do? i die and all i do i lose coins.
