Yeah it seems that the new updates fixed this.

What Graphics card do you have?

I managed to change my points.

First make a copy of your "saved" folder, if something doesn't work.

Then go to SaveGames and edit "NameOfYourSaveFile.sav" and data.sav with the website "saveeditonline.com". 

First import your savefile.sav, search for "points" and edit the first result to your liking, for example "99999", download it and put it into your savedgames folder.

Then you need to edit the data.sav file. There you need to search for "points" again, but need to add the 99999 to the existing value from "total_points...".

I don't know if the last step is needed, but it worked right away.
