I was able to recreate the error. for me, i was fighting a slime at level one and just defend and continue, then when the fight ended the screen was black, though, the game clearly was still running, I could encounter monsters, still hear music, etc

Pretty interesting game but there's not yet any clear progression or story or anything, just kinda wander till you encounter a monster and some of the dialog has spelling errors or is just pretty bland. Though most of this is likely due to it being a very early build so I expect much improvement throughout the development process!
