Glad you figured it out.
Interestingly, I was using UZDoom, freshly downloaded to play Venturous, in fact. Reproduction chaos aside, huzzah for bug squashing.

This is the best place for me to leave this, so here's a bug report. On map 28, accessing the weapons wheel while the player is holding the artifact they have just grabbed results in this error:

If this is what I think this is(The weapon wheel not having an image to assign to something that the weapon wheel thinks is a weapon), this may not be strictly limited to that level.
To reproduce: Changelevel to MAP28, grab the first artifact, and while holding it press the key to open the weapon wheel.

Don't forgot to mark the windows version as also running on linux, it already has all the files for it.

All renpy stuff should run native on Linux with no intervention, the windows build has the Linux files present by default, if they are for some reason missing just copy the game directory into a copy of the SDK and you can launch it from there. But otherwise the .sh file launches the game just fine.

You can mark the PC zip as also running on linux, it already contains all the files needed.

You can mark your existing zip file as running on Linux too.

Hey, just letting you know that the pc version generated by renpy also contains the files to run on linux by default, so you might want to mark that in itch.

Might want to mark the Windows version as also working on Linux
