Understandable! There are a lot of features I'd love to implement, and the script of the game itself already *is* in Ren'py in case I'd like to transplant the game to a that engine at some point.

That's genuinely a great point. I actually agree entirely. If my standards for the game were higher, this is definitely a weakness that I would seriously consider.
The goal is for a decently viable game, but for future projects I will definitely aim for better - and I will have points like what you have brought up in mind.
I have, yes, although I am considering using a premade (HTML) one after talking with Faustto - another FMG dev on itch.io, amazing guy. Making my own engine is a big flex, and gives me a lot of control, but I could just use someone else's for all of the basic VN features and edit it from there, rather than try to reinvent the wheel.
Thanks Thezzelvar!
The game will be fairly linear, with some meaningful choices, but overall it will strictly progress from size stage 1, to stage 2, to stage 3, and so on. The visual novel is intended to be shorter than others (it won't be updated indefinitely like other FMG VNs), and it will end at stage 5. And then I'll make another game!
The missing sprites and assets will be added!
Roger on the font issue, I will take it into account.
There's still quite a bit of work ahead, but I believe we will enjoy the results quite a lot!
