Impressive! Makes me wonder what this would look like with more time to develop.

Yeah hitting the sweet spot with the platforming was really tough and I don't feel like I managed it by the deadline. Thanks for playing!

A Windows 11 desktop with a mouse, but my issue was more with getting stuck in rotate mode and not being able to go back and change to the straight belt after going for the curved one.

Thanks! (And also thanks for having the idea with me!)

Great concept, I wanted to make a game like this! Nice to see it in action. Nice job!

Loved the art and setting! Could use a little more UI work (kbd shortcuts, clearer ways to close windows/scroll through menus etc) but overall nice prototype. Would love to see it keep being developed!

Cool idea, the dialogue could be faster and the platforming controls a little more fluid. But it's a game I'd play more of.

Love WarioWare style games, well done! Controls could be a little more polished (mostly thinking about mouse accuracy but this is clearly made for touchscreens, so maybe just capturing the cursor so it's clearer where you're pointing would fix it).

Nice work, the UI, art & audio tie very well together and the game idea is really neat. I couldn't figure out the third level because my little guy got stuck at the bottom and wouldn't reset properly, but I can see the vision!

The UI bugs out a lot so I had to restart a couple times before I got through the tutorial level. The game could use a bit more hand holding at the start and a clearer indication of which way the belts are rolling. Good use of the theme though!

Glad you liked it! It's only half of the initial vision but turned out better than other short jams I've been in. The music isn't fully mine (see credits in game page) but I remixed it heavily to get the right vibe, so I'm happy it worked!

Yeah well done on the UI, what game engine did you use?

Awesome game, took me a second to get  that I could reuse the tiles on every level without rebuying and not that they were just reusable in that one level. Sound can get a little too repetitive sometimes. Had good fun though.

I loved this! The controls could use being a little snappier and the camera pan mode a little more flexible (even if it would lead to me making more mistakes), just so the player can feel more 'in control'. As for the theme/idea/story/gameplay -- I would easily play a full game like this.

I have a weak spot for survivorslikes, and this one definitely scratched that itch! I was able to quickly break the game by maxing out Everywhere Gun and Cross Gun which made the first few minutes really sluggish. The permanent upgrades should come with faster paced enemies as well so the beginning doesn't feel as slow. Nice take on the idea though! And the UI was probably the best part, not sure what you were on about there saying it wasn't great lol

Thanks for playing, and sorry that happened. Getting the physics down was one of the hardest parts & almost cost me the entire jam -- that's what you get for reinventing the wheel, I guess! Eventually I had to leave it and finish the rest of the prototype. Would definitely improve it with extra time.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, spending the gold and having new things to see as you climb are 100% part of the initial vision -- just fell victim to scope creep 😅

Thanks! We will keep developing the game and push updates once Ludum Dare is over! Some things are already done ;)

I had to revert the mobile controls as they apparently broke a bunch of controllers. The full game will have these + keyboard available, but we'll have to stick with controllers for now!

Thanks! A full game based on the mechanic is coming up
