Great art style and good amount of polish. Would have loved some more feedback on hitting the squiggle (screen shake etc.) and would have liked some powerups or modifiers to keep the gameplay varied and fun as it does tend to get a bit repetitive after a while.

Great job overall.

Thank you so much for your feedback. Definitely agree with you, the game needs some balancing and the mechanic can be a bit confusing at first! The idea of throwing guns at enemies is also very cool!

It's a simple and fun game! There is a bit of trial and error involved with getting used to the timing, but it's insanely hard to balance a game within such a short duration. So great job overall! Loved the little "whooosh" and "ehehh" sound effects too!

This is one of my favorite games of the jam so far! The art style is cute and cozy, the music is calming, and the main mechanic is simple and fun! Not much to critique, great job!

It's insane how polished the game is, and how amazing the visuals are. By far the best looking I've played this jam.
I was able to get through the first 10 levels by just following the shortest route to the stairs without much challenge, but that's natural for a game made in just 4 days, especially with the insane amount of polish this has! What an impressive game!

It's the perfect jam game, simple and fun!

This is such a cool idea and very well executed! It has a lot of potential for a full release! I notice some very minor bugs, but that's obviously expected for a game made in such a short time. Great game overall!

I really enjoyed it! It's a cool concept with great art style and execution. It would be interesting if it could be expanded into a 2 player game, with one player being on the other side of the table, with perhaps more mini games as I felt like there could have been more mini games.

Thank you for playing and for the review. Definitely agree with you on the movement part! A lot left to be desired on that end. I am glad to know you enjoyed other aspects of the game!

Done

It's a really cool game, great aesthetics, great music and great gameplay! It just needed a bit more polish and maybe some tutorial section or anything like that to guide the player in. But overall, great game!

Done. Great game!

I really enjoyed your game, it's some of the most fun I've had playing a game in this jam. The visuals, sound design and gameplay were all very polished and the game had a lot of juice.

It was difficult to get used to the movement in the first place but I guess you were aiming for it to be a challenging game in the first place.

Nice game! I would have liked more feedback on enemy/player collisions and a way to control the top better. Also, your game is very similar to our game :O insane coincidence.

I've already rated your game, my friend :) One of the first games I rated too

We are at 100 ;) What is the prize I get for being the 100th rater?

Great game :) And here you go, 100 ratings :)

Hey everyone, a couple of days ago I rated games with fewer ratings. My goal here is to allow games with fewer ratings get the feedback that they deserve. I am talking games with <30 ratings.

I would also suggest if someone comments on this post and you see other people with few ratings, please go and try their game too, as that will help out way more than just me rating and providing feedback.

Please share links for your games and I'll be rating them over the next few days. Also please mention if you want detailed feedback or just a rating, since if you want detailed feedback, you will have to sometimes wait a bit longer since Itch does not let me comment too often.

This is one of the best looking games I've played this jam so far! Great work with the aesthetics! The gameplay is fun too but I was a bit confused early on, so maybe a tutorial section would help.

Done :)

(1 edit)

I really like the art style, reminds me of N64 games! Cool idea with the gears too. The character controls feel a bit stiff to me, but maybe that was an intentional design choice. Good job!

Done, rated and provided feedback on the game page.

I am actually surprised this game did not get more attention, this is an amazing twist on the survivors genre. It was amazing to spawn many little guys to do my bidding. The formations added a good amount of depth.

You did ask for serious feedback, so I will suggest improvements/ things I noticed.

- The UI does not scale well with fullscreen.

- The bosses should have health bars and basic animations for their attacks.

- Enemies should show some kind of feedback (flash/knockback) when damaged

Commented and provided feedback! Great game

Okay, this was way more fun than I expected, it was very satisfying to blast the asteroids with the hammers! I feel like it could develop into a full game if you want to!

Since you wanted some feedback:

- It feels like you stop progressing very early on and have nothing to look forward to in terms of progression once you've purchased every weapon.

- I feel like the boosters should have been limited/or on cooldown as they can be spammed infinitely.

- Upgrading the placed weapons might have been interesting, for example increasing hammer range, auto target for missiles, faster destroy time for laser and so on.

But these are all problems resulting from me wanting to have more of the game, so amazing job!

Rated and commented!

Very cool concept and unique implementation of the theme! Good job!

Rated and provided feedback :)

I had a good time with it! An interesting take on the Getting Over It genre, since you said you made it with a very limited time, I feel like you already did the best you could and did not have any time to play test the levels or stuff like sound effects.

I feel like it has potential if you continue to develop it. Good job.

Hey, I tried playing your game but it gets stuck at "Let's start" dialogue at the end of the first dialogue section, I've tried multiple browsers too, any idea why that may be?

Rated and commented, very fun game!

I am really surprised why your game hasn't gotten more attention, it's very polished and super satisfying to play, especially when you get kill multiple enemies at once. The simplistic shapes neon art is also great and suits the game very well. Some areas of improvement :

- I understand that spinning the ship is essential to the theme fit, but I was wondering throughout how much more fun the game would be if we had complete control over the ship.

- The upgrades were very basic and could have benefited from some variety.

Overall, I really enjoyed playing your game, great job!

Rated and left feedback :)

Done, and left feedback too :)

You've got some very nice polish and mechanics at play here! I do have some suggestions:

- I feel like binding the spinning attack to the mouse right key might have been better.

- Maybe instead of inverting the controls, the camera starting shaking a bit, and a bit blurry, since I myself could not get over the inverted controls, but maybe that's just a me issue.

Fun little entry!

It's one of the more unique puzzle games I've played this jam. I know what you were going for with the adds and all, but I do believe it hurt the gameplay a bit.

But overall, an enjoyable entry!

I love the voice acting and the aesthetics. It's also *very*, dare I say *super* serious. I really hope there is no ending that takes away that seriousness ;)

Amazing job!

Thank you Spwil, nice to see you here, thank you for the feedback! I was just about to rate your game too :)
