I don't remember when or where but they did say that the game was still in early stage and that some backgrounds weren't finished so I guess they'll gonna finish them in the upcoming updates

Well like after Atticus found me in the hallway I chose to not tell him what I saw on the camera footage while with Talis and he told me to go speak with Vulterus but Vulterus told me to meet him later or tomorrow I forgot and then I THINK when I got to the point where we should have met he was in a dark corner and he said "you actually came" or something like that and then I got a to be continued screen.....
