Wow! Glad to have been of use somehow haha

doing 2 games atm, it's taking most of my free time, so a shame I couldn't participate on this one, but it's going well too :D

this OST is actually great inspiration for one of them, so I'm learning stuff from you also

shit's so magnificent :')

genuinely though, you're still improving so fast it's awesome to witness

Maybe this is by design, but it felt pretty impossible to defend the camp at first, trying to keep the npcs alive with the size of it and how they wander off, (I think stepping on a downed zombie also kills you, which got me a few times, that or they were just spawning on top of me) eventually I just ignored the camp and went exploring which led to clearing the game, so that was neat!

Overall it was charming and quite fun, well done!

fish!

Thanks for checking it out!

Love the groovin' animation :S

I'm ditching ableton for this, this the good shi

also having a closer inspection of the fuel gauge made me laugh xD

I think a good addition to this would be a little burst of speed mechanic, you could use it to brake as well though it might be tricky o.o

Amazing presentation, the music was sublime and just made me sit there for a while contemplating life hahah, mix wise probably a bit too dynamic, though it fits the space vibe in a way. I love the cute artstyle blended in with the majestic space background, coordinates and other stats were a neat addition. The slidey controls are fine imo, just takes a while to get used to, levels wise there could have been a bit better of a learning curve. I love me some skill games with depth, and I think this could have that depth. For a jam context though probably too tough for the average short stay, but I appretiate these type of games personally, great job guys!

You absolute mad genius, please never stop cooking. The bus scene felt so freaking out of nowhere xD, like nothing I've seen before, it made me ascend. Amen.

Thank you!

Thanks for listening 😁

Thanks! I didn't know what a duduk was, the reed looks funny and like it would be quite satisfying to play

Very nice and clear ideas, probably the most satisfying use of the motif from all that I've heard so far, especially entering the section at 55s. The whole thing feels well rooted in the idea with how the other melodies borrow and swap around bits from it, like motific babies or something lol, with the evolving instrumentation helping a lot to keep things fresh. Awesome!

Thanks for listening!

Great spot, thanks for pointing that out about the frequencies. I've done more dynamic things in the past but always by accident, and with the arrangement itself, so I'll definetly be looking into creating a more dynamically interesting mix for my next project, this time around my focus was on making it gel together enough so maybe I went a bit too safe in the end.

Thanks for checking this out, glad you liked it!

Oh man, this is crisp as hell! I found it hard to even picture a scene for it, like the sound could just exist and entertain from within its own dimension.

If you were to pair this with visual media it would have to look really damn slick as well or the visuals might struggle to keep up otherwise.

Very cool project!

I like how you started out with the motif but then modulated it and had it evolve very fluidly into new ideas on the title theme

That second track is spicy goddamn! Personally found it super freaking cool, fun time signature as well

Great job!

Thank you!

I just felt so happy like a lil kid again writing up this wacky weird concept that I did a 180º halfway through the jam to go make this instead, and having people praise my mix quality is actually a first for me so I'm really glad my efforts seem to be paying off (or wait, are you guys paid agents actually 🤔?)

JK, Thank you so much for your input! \( ̄▽ ̄)/

A lovely mix of nostalgic soundfonts and jazz fusion vibes, the variation in the melodies, rhythms and instruments with the solo type interludes kept everything light and fresh to the ears, listening and grooving to it filled me with a warm joyful feeling.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

What I was picturing while reading and listening to this:

I love how you flow into the part at 36s, and the choir there poked at my dark souls bossfight time neurons, and again at 1:36, I also hoped the bit at 1:15 was extended because it really gave me the chills.

Quite enjoyed your implementation of the motifs the way they are spaced out and cleverly blended "in and out" with the other instruments, good work!

Thanks xD

This immediately felt like a perfect fit for the cyberpunk setting while somehow still managing to be fresh at the same time. The motif showed up less often than what I was expecting, but when and where it did was always so very tasteful. *chef's kiss*

A certified banger, great work guys!

I did not expect the 32-bit, 192kHz exports, neither did I expect the second tune to be so minimal after the first one, but the contrast that actually pulled at my curiosity and I started picturing a desolate post apocalyptic atmosphere, so I was once again surprised to read in the description that it was meant as a cozy Christmas theme haha, I ended up grouping them together as the same world but I guess you wanted to have them as two completely separate things?

This was quite fun to listen to, overall pretty neat ideas, and I could say a lot of good things about the first piece as well, the gap was just so bizzare to me that I wanted to comment on it instead, thanks for sharing!

I felt your approach to the orchestration had a very film soundtrack quality to it, it felt dynamically evolving, very emotional but somehow comfortable at the same time, the finale made me shiver.

Loved it, thanks for sharing!

Pretty freeform and cool approach to the theme, nice to see that someone also thought of sampling the motif directly (though I didn't go through with it myself in the end).

The highlight for me was the Silky Wood track, it's a really sick vibe and sound selection, the wonkyness of the first track also made me smile, overall very interesting ambiances, good work!

I'm really happy you enjoyed the sounds too as I've been working on improving my mixing skills in general and this track took quite a few iterations to get it sounding at least somewhat cohesive. I did consider including an audio file just sounding the motif demo before the track actually starts, I might add a link to that in a sec, I think the weirdness detracts from actually catching on where I used it at first and later when I start to change it it gets even harder to find, I'll go add it now hopefully it makes more sense once you know what instrument to look out for.

Thanks for listening, and for checking out the concept as well!

Yeah it's a pretty unusual one I know haha, the imagery I paired with it doesn't help either with deducing the style. I mainly stuck to the first motif which plays from the start without much change, so if you were looking out for the second motif you might only find it towards the end instead.

Thanks for listening :)

I dig the modular split of the parts of the loop so you can do more interesting stuff with it. The song does feel pretty mysterious from the get go, it's a curious vibe with the weirdly slick chord progression you got going on, pretty cool listen, thanks for sharing!

I love your stuff, really, it's always refreshing to listen to without trying to do too much somehow I can't explain yet. Maybe it's the layering you do well, the catchy melodies, the sweet production, or the combination of taste and solid choices for each element. Your stuff seems to have something that I'm missing and I'm just sitting here taking notes tryna piece together what it might be haha

Woah you guys are really using your 5minutes to their fullest hahah

Appretiate the extra lengths you went to make this into a little playable experience, it was really neat to feel the music in action while being a bit more involved with it, (also funny that the fox mc basically has godmode, I couldn't even gameover xD)

Very cool submission!

That last part is actually wicked to me! Even if you found it cheesy yourself, maybe transposing the melody into a spicier tonality might help with it? What I really loved there was how sonically gruesome it really got, gave me some mega stank face lol. Props on setting up multiple loop points as well. Keep cooking you absolute mad scientist!

Beautiful take on the theme! I really liked the straightforwardness of how you used the motif at first and then gradually switching it up, making it more subtle for each track. Each time it felt like it had matured somehow, in the same way as a player who's gradually getting to know the game's world. Your ost mirrored that feeling for me and really pulled me in, this would work great in a game!

Thank you :D

I may or may not have found another way to break the game xD

Thank you :D

That's very kind of you, thanks for expanding on the review and for listening, I appretiate it!

This was pretty freaking cool, I love how unapologetically in your face everything is, it feels like elements are fighting each other and I mean that in the best way lol
