Yeah it was honestly so much fun! I was laughing my ass off at some points; it's been YEARS since I last laughed so hard from RPG Dialogue, and it made me so happy that you managed to make me start feeling that level of engagement/happiness with an RPG story lol

Following up this comment to let you know that the streaming has concluded. and unfortunately I forgot to enable the function that saves VODs so I legit can't get the stream to edit and show for you! Sorry! But regardless, all I have to say is that I absolutely LOVE this game and was having the time of my life with it. Love these characters' personalities and their dynamic so much, more people should hear about this project!
So there's 4 NPCs, 3 using RTP Sprites, and a party member's character sprite, all 4 being on Luminos Island. I created them in order to test the upgrade scrolls, but forgot to remove them after the test.
Now normally I would release a new update to remove these since they weren't originally meant to be there.
However, since this isn't the final release, I think I'll just leave them in and let you guys choose whether or not to have fun with them! So enjoy taking a look at some unreleased upgrade scrolls if you so choose! Until next time; peace out, have fun!
I have been making so many modifications to the game that making a new demo felt needed due to a lot of core changes made to the game, writing, and balancing. I've also extended the length of the demo to all the way up to the second Storysplit's first story option (Other options are currently disabled in that one due to being unfinished)
If there are any major bugs with the demo please report them to me as I'm not always able to find every bug in these despite how precise I am looking for them.
Certain side dungeons/sidequests may be broken or not functioning properly. If this happens, please let me know so I can either temporarily disable them or tweak whatever's not working about them.
The only option that should be available on the second storysplit is Title Match. If for whatever reason the other stories are available, please let me know immediately and avoid messing with them, only one other story is partially complete, and the others straight up don't work and will only attempt to repeat certain code that isn't meant to be repeated, breaking the game.
Update: Patch was now released
Hey y'all it's me again, my idiot self forgot that removing things you left in the game since the beginning, can break stuff. Long story short I removed a certain orb that was placed in Deep Splinta that I just now realized was stupid. I forgot that I left it there because removing it meant the player was going to be softlocked and not be able to progress Underground Splinta. I'm pushing out the update as we speak, I recommend you install it now, otherwise your current version will result in a softlock eventually. Putting the demo to a halt.
Hey guys! Just wrapping things up with this improved version of the Distorted Sanctum demo. It'll be out in an hour, please note that this will be the last version of the demo I make. As I now need to focus on developing the rest of the game. The improvements are mainly some slight story changes, and revamped boss battles. Once I finish some testing, I'll see you guys in the new demo!
I took notes while watching the stream, mainly so you can get responses on as much as possible
-Suspense Battle Theme not fitting with the battle system: I see what you mean, though not sure how to fix the issue if I'm being honest. I'll try my best to figure something out though; if you or others reading this have any idea, feel free to share them!
-That C Key issue is new, I've never seen that before. How the heck did that happen?
-Looking at the interior of that first area, it's definitely in need of some improvements. After all, it's the first impression for everyone on what the game looks like.
-I'm gonna shorten the length of that beginning portion because it does seem like it can drag out for far too long. I actually have some ideas for it that could help keep the player more engaged and feel more like they're in a dangerous situation.
-Viper spotting you from that weird spot, I'll look into that, the stealth mechanic likes to bug out a lot.
-Archer going up to enemy: I tried fixing that, but I can't get the dang thing to work for some reason, Javascript is not my specialty XD. It won't hurt to try again though.
-Gonna add checkpoints for that Viper Hiding Sequence
-That beginning was made when I was still trying to figure out how to map properly, hence why it looks so weird. Again, I'll get to fixing that.
-Oh god the sound of burst was super damn loud, I made that when I was using my crappy headphones, so had no idea just how loud that skill really was. I'm gonna be turning its volume WAY down when I can.
-Another person brought up the issue regarding action sequences too. I'm going to definitely be fixing that.
-Music being too much: oh yeah, I can definitely fix that.
-Footstep sounds and wind sound: Oh, I know a site where I could get some more proper sound effects.
-No need to apologize for being harsh, I completely understand! I'm here for criticism, not just a bunch of positives.
-I don't quite know what to change the Victory theme to, but I'm sure I can figure something out.
-I should make more interior for Delta Castle. Also just realized I forgot to add windows to EVERYTHING.
-Will update NPC dialogue a bit, and will update Delta Castle overall interior.
-I like that footstep vegetable chop joke lol
I'll get to fixing whatever I possibly can, thanks for the feedback, and again, thanks for taking the time to review and stream it! Not done watching the stream, but will continue watching later; once again, thank you!
Edit: Also forgot to add- First thing I'll do is fix the blandness of the Dragon Battle, making it more like a boss. I will also create more early game monster skills so it seems more like they're monsters rather than something that just smacks a lot
Edit 2: Want to mention that Trace isn't supposed to have that Vampiric Bite skill at all, that was left in by complete accident; he had it for testing purposes, my bad
