i see a lot of people posting about ingenuine ratings and it was something i was worried about from the start. some people were just being positive to be positive, others doing it for ratings. all the rate for rates and the MANY copy paste demons weren't a good sign to me. i know rate for rates could be genuine right....? but for what they are i personally don't think that's the case most of the time. these are all probably problems with ranked jams i feel like. people being shady because they want to win. not really sure why else
idk if jams are normally like this, but it just felt really competitive for score and im not really a fan of it. i feel goofy saying that considering i knew it was gonna be scored. i just thought it would be more about the games if you know what i mean? idk even know what i mean. Are jams just not for me or should i try some more later?
definitely reminds me of undertale and deltarune. i really liked the game. the writing, music art, and the voice acting was great, for some reason it was so funny to me when he said "up in this joint" idk it was just really goofy. i also do think it was a little janky and the black jack game went on for to long, there was also to much things in the flicking game that i just immediately lost. but overall i loved it bro good game.
https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3935671 this game is just the word death 😭😭😭
forgot to mention that i asked this person "why havent you played my game yet?". i wasnt asking because i wanted them to play i was asking because i wanted to know why they didnt when they said they wanted to play. they wouldnt answer this question and deflected it on to me by asking "you want me to?". i dont think anybody understood the point i was trying to make.
i just need to get my thoughts out on this. i also want to know your thoughts. i dont know if im right or wrong anymore
in discord this person out of no where had asked the name of my game because they wanted to play it because "my pfp looks funny" but when they found out i didnt like when people advertised their game to me they immediatly forgot me and my game then moved on to asking other people to play their game. they still havnt played my game. this is really ingenuine and it shows me you dont care about any other game but yours. the only reason you want to play mine is because you thought ill play yours. their is no other explination. why would you randomly tell me how much you wanted to play my game then not play it after you find out i wont play yours back?
no one cares about this behavior? its selfish and they straight up lied to me.
one person said
"even if they didn’t want to play yours because you won’t rate theirs. thats still valid"
i only think this is true if they are honest about it. if they lie to me and tell me they want to play my game because "my pfp looks funny" then i have a problem with it.
i dont appreciate everyone in the discord pushing me aside like im some villian for this. i thought i was just being negative before but maybe i wasnt. maybe i was actually right. or maybe im just delusional
this person doesnt even no whats going on and they say this about me. it makes me sad.
"its in human nature to feel better about yourself when someone else is doing worse than you. ignore the opinions, the comments, the threats, and everything in between (btw i have no idea whats going on i just noticed some negative vibes, not siding with anyone)"
i didnt make any threats. i dont want people to think this about me. if you dont believe me pls check in the discord
i got negative vibes from the person that lied to me.
if any body sees this i made a post in community about the dev of this game JPerimeter. basiclly JPerimeter is doing the same thing the dev of "forgotten dream" did. the dev that got their game removed by spamming their link in others peoples games asking them to play it. JPerimeter had rated a game and comments. they dont comment about how the game doesnt work. only about the cover image. but the game doesnt work it crashes immediately when you run it. this is really similar to the "forgotten dreams" situation. i wouldnt be suprised if they hadnt played all the other games that they rated and commented asking them to play their game.
link to the game with the comments: https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937057
its in the game call "get a life". ( https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937057 ) JPerimeter just uses the cover image the dev provided to make a relevant comment about the game to then paste their link and ask them to rate their game. i think this is shitty. its farming rates to boost your game. i dont think this person cares about your game. they most likely just want your rating. and it shouldn't go unnoticed. maybe the game was working when they made the comment. the comment isnt even about the actual game though so that probably isnt the case. this person has made many other comments like this in many games that i haven't tested, they mostly comment about things in the cover image and screen shots though. maybe it was as extreme as hundreds of games (i dont know how to check) but its still feels kinda off. alright done yapping.
so i saw that a game get removed called "forgotten dreams" i think. its a black and white game with a square. im assuming it got deleted because the developer was copy pasting the same message and the link to their game over and over again to hundreds of games they haven't played. games that dont even work. and i think thats a bad thing to do. so i think its good it was removed. with all that i just came across JPerimeter the devoloper of Pomegranate's Bramble doing the same thing.
All the other devs are scared of me. No one talks to me. Noone wants to be my friend-- They think I am unstable. i send myself from game to game copy pasting my link in their game. And as I get better at it, they fear me more and more. I am a victim of my own success. JPerimeter. I don't even get a real name, only a purpose. I am getting away with it and no one sees it.
