I'm not sure if the author agrees but I think the point is that you don't have to. If you enjoy doing things that are considered "good design" (whatever that means (to you) (this sounds rude but isn't intended to sound rude)), by all means do them, because do whatever the heck you want. But you shouldn't feel like you have to, because do whatever the heck you want to.

At first, I was a bit annoyed at Ellen because her actions really didn't make much sense to me (Why go to a job you hate if you're in a time loop? Why let your frustration out on Olivia?).
But once the True End got going, I really loved the vibes and the characters! I also really enjoyed the epilogue and especially the bonus room. It's such a fun way of letting the players have a peek behind the scenes and engage with the game just a little bit more after the story is through.
I feel like this is one of those pieces of media that will stay with me for a long time and change who I am just a bit.
