Hello again! I read your message and decided to give the game a try.

Once all the mechanics became clear, I was able to progress further, and it's simply incredible! As I said earlier, the atmosphere in the game is truly eerie; I didn't even think top-down play was capable of such a thing. The sound design and dark levels combined really nailed it. Besides the atmosphere, avoiding monsters and gradually unlocking new passages was quite fun: the levels are really well designed. And I think the jam theme is fully realized. I can't believe they did this in a week!

But the game does have its problems:

1) The controls feel unnatural due to the inability to walk horizontally. Perhaps this is intended, and you get used to it over time, but at first it was unusual.

2) I really missed a sanity bar or something like that. You said you wanted to add this to the CRT effect, but honestly, I turned it off almost immediately (without it, the game is more vibrant and therefore much easier to play).

3) The game is quite difficult, and it's not even about the difficulty itself, but rather that it doesn't really try to explain how to play, and that if you drink all the pills on the map out of fear, you'll have to start over!

This is a game jam, so no game can be perfect, but I believe that such a game is not embarrassing to show off outside of a jam and that it will find its fans!!!

P.S. I also forgot to mention that the mechanics of taking pills to get rid of monsters and false items seem quite innovative.

While playing random games from the jam, I stumbled upon this treasure. It’s an absolutely incredible game, yet for some reason, it has so few ratings. I highly recommend checking it out!

It is so DOG DAMN PEAK. I REALLY want the full game!!! The only question is why there're too few rates?

So far, this is the best game I’ve played at this game jam. It features pleasing graphics, fun gameplay, and solid execution; the concept of adding interesting new mechanics to a simple game is always great and allows for plenty of creative possibilities. All these factors combine to create a game that would be impressive even outside the context of the jam! However, I have to point out that, in my opinion, the theme wasn't fully realized; the game would have benefited from a new other mechanic for identifying "evil" and "good" cells—perhaps where any given cell could turn out to be evil or smth like that. That would have made both the theme and the gameplay itself more engaging. Nevertheless, I’m confident this game deserves to place in the top ranks.

P.S.  Sure, there are some bugs, but what kind of jam would it be without them?

I enjoyed the game, especially its visual style; the concepts of a 3D planet and flat textures within a 3D world aren't new, but they work beautifully together and leave a lasting impression. The music is well-crafted and suits the game's melancholic atmosphere, though it doesn't go much beyond that. Even though I’m not a fan of "walking simulators" (and that’s not meant as an insult—it is a legitimate genre), this game is still good.

Nvm, I tried to play it but...

When I reached the parts involving keycards, my character simply couldn't pick any of them up to progress; I also couldn't find a screwdriver to get through the hatch. I didn't really understand the purpose of the pills, either (probably because I couldn't get any further).

It’s a shame such bugs crop up, because the game’s atmosphere is genuinely creepy!

I see this is  a peak game, but I'm too scared to play this😭🙏

The game is very short but quite amusing; I really enjoyed the humor derived from unexpected actions. The idea of creating a "troll game" set in the Backrooms actually sounds pretty good and could well be a success. Just as importantly, even though the game is short and simple, it is fully polished and bug-free. However, the lack of appealing graphics (or a distinct art style), the sparse—albeit fitting—music, and the short runtime prevent me from rating it highly.

Hi everyone. Like many others, this was my first game jam, but it was also the first finished (if you can call it that) game.

I made it with my younger sister; she drew the graphics for me, and I built the game itself.

Naturally, due to inexperience, the game ended up being about a third the size of the original concept during development, featuring an unfinished interface.

There was half an hour left in the jam, so I hurriedly exported and submitted the project.

But that’s not bad; I finished the game and released it anyway. The main thing is to finish what you started.

What stories do you have from this jam? Do share—I’d love to read about them and play your games, too!
