How is this even a game jam project??? There's so many different mechanics and although I haven't tried inviting anyone else to play, that feature is sure to have been complicated. This deserves to be considered a full game and I might come back to it if I ever find the time! I'm impressed and although it isn't really my cup of tea, I bet if I took the time to learn strategies, I could really enjoy this game!

Yeah I regret making the objects able to be connected because it seemed like a fun idea when prototyping but... turns out having thousands of physics calculations on uneven terrain isn't the best idea. I'm glad to hear your support and I can promise that you aren't the only person who's struggled while playing my game!
I really like the art and I'm impressed, it would take me the full seven days just to make all that pixel art lol! I think you did a really good job at making the game and it actually scared me when I went from the tutorial to the actual game. The sounds are really creepy and the core mechanics were implemented in a really fun way. It's a simple game but a very good one!
Sort of random but I kinda thought of making a game like what you did but I changed my mind because I wanted to focus on a 2D game. You on the other hand took the problem and made a mainly 3D idea into a great 2D game. However, truly if we had the time and/or resources and abilities to make a 3D game, I think your idea could have been taken into a full effect and been very immersive.
Great job and I hope that you'll continue to grow and learn your game development skills!
The art is absolutely lovely and everything fits the world so well. This game brings skill into gambling (which I'm surprised to have to be saying) and it was very addicting. The gameplay loop is simple but rewarding and the polish on every single thing is just beautiful. Also I love how all of the upgrades are food! This could be a full game and I think it could easily win this game jam!
To be fair, the general idea isn't very noteworthy and even though pressing at the right time is important, I felt that a lot was just luck. Maybe it's just a skill issue for me but I think it could benefit from upgrades that could give the player more of a choice in their attack. Or maybe you could make each round have a general focus that the slots have. That's just an idea though and I think what you made is amazing on its own and I encourage you to continue :)
This is a really good puzzle game! The art style fits really well with the simplicity of the game and the sounds just really make me feel immersed into the puzzle. The color pallet looks really good and the animations look really good (all the way from the letters in the title bouncing to the player walking around). Although the way you took the theme is really obvious, you did a really good job at it and I'd ABSOLUTELY love to play more of these puzzles.
I don't have any critiques on this game! Really any form of advice I could give you would be unnecessary ideas and I think you should take the game in any path you wish :)
(even if that does mean not making more puzzles, which would be a bummer)
The visuals and the general idea is really good! However the game was really hard and it didn't have a lot of gameplay (or I was too bad to get anywhere). Good job though!
I do have a bit of advice but feel free to do whatever you want with your game because it has potential!
I think a menu screen would really benefit the game. It doesn't have to be much just a few buttons in front of that majestic thumbnail.
I also think a tutorial could benefit the players, I know it's simple controls but a good tutorial could really benefit just the vibe of the game.
Another piece of advice would be to decrease the difficulty in some way. It doesn't have to be anything major, just add waves or something that will give the player a head start on what's about to happen.
You could also add some music and sound effects to improve the feel of the game. I know it sounds surprising but it truly does benefit the feel.
Finally, something that is more of just an idea than advice, actually add COOKING. I did NOT cook, sadly. Hopefully if you continued working on this game you could make cooking a possibility and that's how you could create new towers.
Great game, great potential, still needs some work though (as all games do!)
Good luck and I hope to see more from you and your team :)
This was a really good idea and it has the foundation of a really great game! However it lacked gameplay and the lack of objects to destroy didn't make the game very fun to play. The visuals are amazing and I liked the music. I think this game has a lot of potential and I'd love to come back to it some time when there's more features to the game. Great job and I hope you keep going!
I loved the swinging mechanic and the hand drawn art style looks amazing, maybe I'm just biased though because that's used for my game too :) . I struggled A LOT but that's probably just a skill issue on my part. It's really creative and fun! I think you could take this idea and put it into a full game!
My only critiques are just simple changes.
I feel like the controls are reversed but that might just be a problem for me. Just a personal preference but maybe there could be like a setting to reverse the controls so the monkey swings in the direction of where you moved the mouse?
Another problem, which is less of an issue and doesn't affect gameplay, but maybe you could find a way to differentiate the grabbable objects with the background. This isn't a major issue by any means but if done correctly, it could massively improve the feel of the game. I don't know how you could do that but maybe like by highlighting the area slightly or something?
My last real idea for it could be to add some background music to just spice of gameplay a bit.
Don't take my advice too seriously though! I had a great time playing and I hope you continue working on this game or at least use this game as an opportunity to grow and create even BETTER games!
10/10 game :)
I think the problem is that when you press the escape key in the itch.io page, it just exits from the game. My game was made in Godot instead of Unity but I think the mouse locking works the same way, I'm so sorry that I didn't reply sooner because now it's probably too late to recommend adding a Windows or Linux version too.
I'm trying to get as much advice over my game as possible because I want to know if my game is too difficult! Any feedback would be amazing!

I couldn't find your game on your page but I'd love to play it if possible!
I really enjoyed it! The post-processing looks really good and the controls fit well with the game. I think it would be an amazing multiplayer game and I hope that you work on it further!
My only advice would be to make the mouse cursor visible and/or unlocked because I think that it provides a focus to the player and also just makes the menu screen usable on a computer. It may just be my computer but as soon as I went to full screen I wasn't able to see the mouse.
[Edit] Almost forgot to put my game :)
Yeah, that was an issue for a lot of people and I regret not explaining it more. Just so I know for the future, were you not able to find any trees in the world or did you not understand that you needed to place tiles in the grid. I don't mean it in any way, I just want to know where I went wrong in my game's design and what to keep in mind next time.
I struggled to understand the game and I still don't understand it all that well. I think it would be a lot more fun if it were able to get more general polish and maybe a tutorial. If it's possible at this point, it would be helpful for other players if you decreased the initial size of the play window because it makes it really difficult to view the page and find the fullscreen button.
Amazing art and the progression is fun. I did struggle with the controls but if I was using a mouse it would probably be a lot more fun. I think it would be really fun if you added more upgrades and turned it into a little more of an idle clicker game (but that's just my opinion, it can be whatever you want!).
