Very nice puzzle game! The controls were easy to pickup and I really like your use of lighting to direct the player naturally towards the objectives/important items, etc.

As others have said the intro cutscene was charming (nice Minecraft sound, lol.)

After completing the levels (I think lvl 4? 5?) the game went to black, I'm assuming that was the end but I'm not entirely sure so I figured I'd let you know.

Well done!

Awesome art direction! Love the black/white to go along with the jam theme.

Interesting roguelite mechanic.

Reminiscent of the first stage of Spore (2008) and Agar.io

Great job!

So cool to see this game come together! The character designs are all really strong and I enjoyed seeing them all, especially lil' Pluto

Some funny moments, as well as a real head-scratcher of a mystery. Well designed narrative. One thing that would have been helpful for me as I played through the double-interrogations would be if the dialog nametags/boxes would shift to the side of the screen associated with the speaking character; color-coded nametags work alright but there may be accessibility issues with the design.

Overall, a very fun time, and a charming concept! Well done!

Really digging the illustrations/intro cinematic, and also the music - reminiscent of Gerudo Valley from N64.

It gets really difficult quickly, which makes for a fun challenge! I started by trying to destroy every in the area; that seemed like a bad idea after a few tries, so then I just started running for my life, dodging the projectiles as necessary, and got much farther.

That totally makes sense! The music is great too, it's a nice touch.

My gut tells me maybe 1 pt per hour, instead of 1 pt per day; you could still display which day was reached at the endslate (i.e. "You survived to day 3! Score: 70")

Rebuilding your flock is interesting. Perhaps +1 sheep returned, up to a max, as a reward when each day/night cycle is completed?

I like the character artwork and the logo!

Amazing aesthetic; loved the warped CRT screen effects. Very stylish.

Could not figure out how to place/move guards on first playthrough, think I hit ready before placing guards. Figured it out quickly on the 2nd try.

Great job!

Played with controller, enjoyed the wacky physics in the potion-brewing game!

Reminded me of old-school online flash games in a good way. Very charming, lots of character in that wizard sprite.

I think a visible timer could lend a good sense of urgency to the potion-brewing game. During the knight section, I felt conflicted since the game was asking me to defeat the wizard, but I felt the better I played as the wizard the harder it would be to play as the knight? Either way, I never quite made it halfway to the wizard's tower. Maybe I was brewing too many potions, haha.

Yoooo GameMaker?? Let's goooooo! Must have missed you guys at the jam. I'm a pro GM dev for the past 10 years, would have loved to chat.

Anyways!

Sound design and atmosphere were *awesome*. Very immersive and creepy, kinda giving Undertale vibes. Glad I played with volume up, and there's some really  nice pixel art as well.

After my first playthrough I was left with so many questions and curiosities I think I'll have to play again once or twice to experience the other paths. Super flavorful narrative direction, I can tell there was a clear vision behind this one.

Fun and creative! I like the pixel art, and I've seen a lot of fishing mechanics in games before, but never a slot-machine style. Super interesting blend of cozy game-style fishing with tower-defense style base defense mechanics.

Some audio/music/sfx would be a nice addition.

Took me just a minute to figure out what I was doing at the start; having played other tower defense games, I was surprised to see that I controlled a character freely with the arrow keys, but it clicked pretty quick for me.

Game is gorgeous, wow! Love all the parallaxing effects and tilt-shift. Animations were smooth, title screen looked great.

Really enjoyed my time defending my flock, controls were intuitive and I felt like I picked up on the gameplay quickly. Brilliant idea to let you keep your spear if you get a direct hit on an enemy, it feels very rewarding for playing skillfully.

Day/night cycle seemed a bit slow to me, Day/night 1 was brutal on my flock and I didn't make it much farther; perhaps a more granular scoring system would be better than such large steps between 0-1-2, etc for newer players.

Overall, excellently done!!

I had issues getting the browser version to work as well, though the Windows .exe worked just fine!

Fun! I really enjoyed the chiptune music. Tutorialization was pretty good, though it did take me a bit to figure out I could double-jump on lvl 1 (tried walljumping to get to the gem for a minute or two, wasn't getting me any closer lol.) The difficulty really ramped up on lvl 2 with some very clever platforming challenges!

Finished my playthrough in about 10min. Nicely done! Quite a bit of gameplay/challenge packed in there, and the illustration at the end was a nice reward.
