Hey, just wanted to add that I basically had a similar experience and similar thoughts. Great hour or two! Really promising game, so congrats. I played through one full "season" and won the crucible in it despite a pauper start (no patron, weakest possible starting situation). Seemed too easy to pick up great adventurers in the tavern despite being in the bottom league. Also wanted to be able to fast forward a day or two at a time (e.g. if my building was being constructed, so that I could take advantage of it before the next event). Lastly, it wasn't clear to me where exactly we were in the calendar before the final couple of events of the season (like, I didn't know how much time I had before the Crucible and whether I could safely send my adventurers on a dungeon run). So, I ended up just playing it safe and fast forwarding time when I probably could have accumulated a bit more gold. Another thing: even though I routinely cast away adventurers for higher cost upgrades from the tavern, I never saw anything but my gold amounts going up and up. This might be by design, but I didn't feel like I was being forced into any tough choices - the best move was always to upgrade the adventurer and try to get as many adventurers as possible so that I could delve + quest while keeping my party balanced and rested.
