Ezmore's Crystals had me enthralled from the moment I entered Studsville.
Every part of the game, even all of the side quests, were incredibly enjoyable. The main reason I was engaged in the game so much was because everything had felt like it had a purpose. I won't say any specific quests, but it always felt like there was a reason to do everything. For example, I probably wouldn't be able to defeat a certain boss if I hadn't gotten the staff first. It was that kind of thing that made me engaged.
However, one thing I didn't like about the game was the movement and combat systems. The story was good, but having to go across the map by holding down the mouse was a real pain, and it often made me annoyed having to back and forth. A different movement system, like using the WASD or arrow keys would've made the experience a lot better. The combat system was the same. If the movement had been different, it could allow the player to simply click and swing their weapon anywhere. I died a few times because of how janky it was.
Overall, I would give Ezmore's Crystal's a 7/10. The storytelling was amazing, but the controls took away from the expirience a lot.
