The "half walls" are called thin wall, they were in previous editions but the latest update made regular walls thinner, so they weren't usefull anymore. Thus they were effectively removed, though you can still use them and their new texture looks really nice.

the little columns are just what happens when you put down a wall without there being walls to any side of them.

Second batch. I'm really proud of these, they turned out great! I created some electronics, and then i spent a day making pipes just because i wanted to have some under the ground then i made some cracks to put around said holes. Definitely going to make more. (btw the small pipes look much better before exporting)
