It's not you just don't understand it, the default detection range is 5, with your code if there is any ore within 5 of the miner it will mine without going forward. It's really good if you progress a bit

I love this! An interesting take on most programming games and I'm kind of bummed there isn't a specific tag for this sort of thing. I reckon this has full game potential if the UI is tweaked a bit and some other blocks, modes, robots etc. are added. Good job!

Amazing game, with a sandbox mode I believe it might even be Turing complete(?) Very few glitches for a jam game, most noticeable one for me is movers jumping multiple blocks when in a line, not sure if this is intentional or not.
