Dang this was INTENSE. Dare I say, this was the best one you have made yet.
I am really, REALLY loving and into whatever is going on in the backstory of the protagonist of these games. Can't wait to find out what happens next.

Is the "canon" ending to this really the one where the two of them die? I was pretty shocked to see that ending have the "true" ending label instead of the "good" ending.
I'm a bit surprised there aren't more comments on this, really enjoyed the atmosphere.
I like how the characters seem to have a bit of an "dysfunctional family" vibe, with father being well.....father. And mothra being the one who likes to make up excuses for father's "behavior" and then the "scared kid" and so on. And interesting to think about the main character being named dog, I wonder if dog being unable to get up is supposed to symbolically represent feeling tied down to a "family" they don't really like.
This was really good.
I really loved the "atmosphere" to this with the odd washed out/grainy looking images and the music. Few parts even had me a bit unsettled. (Despite the sense of humor it also had)
Don't want to say too much considering there apparently isn't a spoiler tag on this website (??), but I really loved how it tied back into the original game. Often times "prequels" to antagonistic characters can take away from the original a bit when done wrong but I think this game really enhances the original in a lot of ways. And even though our protagonist is faceless I was able to feel a connection to them thanks to the writing.
