Not too shabby, I liked how cohesive the art style was.  The audio felt right as well.  When you use an item up it should be removed from your inventory. I got to a point where I couldn't remember what I had used and what I hadn't and would just cycle thru my items to see which ones I could still equip.  You had a some nice features implemented with the shovel and the crowbar. I just would have liked to see them used more than once.  Aside from that I think it was a nice little puzzle game. I really enjoyed my time with it!

Cute little tower defense. I really liked the theme/ narrative here. Maybe its just because garden gnomes are cool. Or maybe its my deeply seeded disdain for the HOA idk.  When making a tower defense one of the more important details is stat visibility. Your unit health, the enemy unit help, damage numbers, and unit descriptions. Because the tower defense girlies love to min/max.  This game gets away with it fine because its not some deeply complex TD with upgrades and stat trees and all sorts of craziness, but I still would've liked to see some health bars.  Echoing Okayh about the sprite layering.  Zombies should render over the gnomes. Last bit of criticism, the menu music and the gameplay music mesh well enough, but I think the gameplay music falls short of the theme. Give me something spookier. That's all I've got. Solid work!

I gotta say, for 7 days I was impressed.  You nailed the theme from the audio to the visuals I was uncomfortable.  I think both obstacles and a timer are great additions to snake. However,  the thing snake does best is its difficulty curve.  In making a crowded room you have raised the skill floor by a lot, and then adding a timer on top of it raises the skill floor even more. A good way to balance this would be to add a less crowded space in the middle of the map. Players are still going to be forced into the more technically difficult corners because 'there's an orb over there' but it will give the players a bit of reprieve.

all in all a fun little horror take on an age old classic. Well done!

Post a screenshot of your scores!

this game brought me to tears. truly moving experience.

fun little arcade game,  core loop is easy to grasp. controls make sense and the game is reasonably challenging.  music was cool. I would recommend adding a little bit of variation in the sound design to mitigate audio fatigue. By my third attempt some of the sounds were getting a little unpleasant.  I would also recommend a bit more contrast in your color choice for the horse / cart specifically. this game is all about tracking moving parts so you want those moving parts to stand out as much as possible.  Solid jam game. had fun playing!

spam submission. don't download this.

I've never had so much fun playing with balls... except maybe that one time..

On a more serious note, I think you did an amazing job.

The physics are just right to make balancing on those thin rail sections really tense.

although the art style is somewhat simplistic and you mentioned that you didn't get all of the art done, you did a solid job making every asset work together, nothing looked out of place.  I think the music you picked also tied in well with the art and theme of the game.

all around solid work!

I did not, unfortunately, beat theVengeful's score.

I really enjoyed this one. As a fan of don't starve it definitely brought me back to that place. I like the crafting system. It's cool that you can use any material to craft each part of your tools. It really added a lot of depth to an otherwise simple system.

It took me a few plays to really figure out what was happening and how to play. Could benefit from a more in depth run thru of the mechanics.  Especially as you add more to it.

I have a feeling I'll be coming back to play this one again. Genuinely very cool and I hope you keep developing it further.
