I have these assets and want to make game with it. Should I modify them though or just use them as is? Are there any games you see using the same assets?

Love how Its so unexpected. Very nice

Thats the truth. Starting to back pedal a bit and work on something simpler.

Thank you for the advice. I been playing some games and seeing how theyre doing it. And your right it probably wouldnt add much. Seems like alot of work for a little. I get that way though. Stuck on a single mechanic and not moving on. I am going to try to break that habit and try to adapt to what I know.

Its my dream to make a game like this.

That is great advice. I tend to hyper focus on a specific mechanic. I spin my wheels and end burning myself out. I also get overwhelmed with the possibilities and what I want to happen. Currently I have been working on a platformer. I wanted to added melee attack with a weapon. I finally got it working. But having trouble deciding if I want the enemy to have a knock back effect when I hit it. I got that to work, but not happy with the result. I dont know feel like I maybe spinning my wheels again.

IT'S FUN. wOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN PASSING SOME gdEVELOP TIPS?

Would you suggest some good tutorials to start with?

Do you still update or add to this? I have been wanting to make a game like this for years. I was wondering in case I needed some help.

Looks cool. I like it.

Are game jams for people who make games all the time? I been trying to make games forever, but caught up on mechanic I cant get to work or something else goes wrong. Is it one of those things where you just have to scale down or just not get caught in one detail you cant fix?

Looks fun. I am on a phone though

I really like, no, LOVE this art you have here. I feel like I will never amount to this level of creative.

I want to make a game like this so bad. Game dev is hard. Been trying on gdevelop, godot, and phaser. Always run into walls.

Could you make something like this with phaser or godot?

what do you use to make your game?

I wish I was that artistic. Looks great!

I would be interested in a standalone version.

My animations don't work the same as this one. They are basically the same but do not wait for the animation to finish before playing another animation. It's like it ignores if one of these is true (which is the animation is 2 or 3 and the hero's animation is finished.)
