Really interesting design. Liked a lot the art style, but the boss was a bit too long.

The abilities were really fun! And controlling the player was a nice blend of challenging and intuitive.

Great work!

The art style is AMAZING!!! The colors and sprites are really cool! But I would adjust the player position when changing screens while jumping. But besides that really cool game and very well executed!

Really cool! The combat is very dynamic and fluid. But the leve design is a bit too flat and spaced out, you should take a bit more advantage of the verticality.

The parallaxing background was really cool but I felt the player had too may abilities to start, you should maybe space out the second attack and teleport to thrown weapons as skills that you earn from exploring the starting level.

Hey Vinny! Thanks for the feedback. We didn't have enough time to add a custom HP bar, but I agree completely with your comment

Hey loved the art and music! Very moody and mysterious. But the platforming and overall level design need a bit of a second pass. The player has to be really precise in order to reach the platforms, while the level is a bit too large at times and the platforms a bit too hard to reach.

Besides that the animations are really cool and the blocks mechanics were very creative. Although, was the yellow block not supposed to block enemy movement?

Yheaaa the movement speed might be a bit too slow... I just got used to and didn't think about it twice haha
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the bosses we has a lot of fun making this game

The game-feel is top notch! I loved the combat system and the animations have JUICE!!!

But the theme integration was a bit rough and the camera controls were a bit confusing

Regardless the color scheme and art directions were really well executed

The map flow was really fun. I liked the layout that indicated  the next goal in a very organic way, nice work!

The pixel art is a bit inconsistent especially regarding the player  and the enemies.

Gameplay wise, the enemies are fun to fight and bait into attacking but the first (the boss I got stuck on) has no window for you to attack and its a little too aggressive for a first boss.

Regardless the idea of scaling a forest of mega-trees with enemy megafauna was really cool!

Hey!! Thanks for commenting on my game. Now that I've had a chance to play your I have to say, I like the concept it's a great satire but I have some suggestions.

- Firstly you should improve the UI by adding a timer and so we can feel the urgency.

- The game should be a little bit more lenient on the first two days before ramping up the difficulty.

- Finally it would be really cool if the game had 2 player local coop!

Agree completely. I was originally going to make a balatro-like

But now I think I'll turn it into an incremental game.

What is the theme of the jam? I'm having some issues finding out

Yeah its sub optimal for game controls but an interesting experiment nonetheless

Yup

Very good maybe a little rough, but very addictive!

I accidentally posted this game instead of the game I made for the jam

Nice Game, the controls are rely tight and the sound effects are retro but nice. I would only dedicate a bit more of time to polish the background. I would also increase the visibility with the tutorial text boxes.
