If you made it skippable as soon as it appears, that would still make it dramatic for the first death while allowing for faster restarts!

Hi, a few questions here!
In the description it says that recording a video is optional so I just wanted to know, how are you going to verify the game was done in under an hour? Will I need to somehow prove that or is it simply based on trust?
Another question is if the time limit is strictly at 1 hour or if it's not a big deal to go like a minute beyond that in case where I'm in a middle of small but crucial process like writing last lines of code for a function.
Last but not least, you've said that using assets is fine, just want to verify, does that also applies to code? Like if I'd be allowed to take already working player controller instead of writing one, for example.
The ending was good, but OMFG, the rest of the game is way too slow. After 20 logs I was barely interested, after 25 I said to myself that if 30 isn't last one then I'm just closing the game. The whole gameplay feels like it is there just to artificially slow down the player so they don't see it too fast, and it's horrible.
Thanks! Seems that lack of checkpoints is the main problem here, lol. Didn't have time to do it, but at least I made the invincibility setting so u can skip the rooms u want to skip.
P.s. There's a bug that u have to turn on invincibility after game begun, not in the main menu and not during first tips.
Here's what it says in the rule:
- While you can use pre-existing code or assets, refrain from writing code or creating assets specifically for this jam in advance unless you are releasing an asset pack for everyone to use. Remember that the point of the game jam is for you to create your entire project within the 72 hours period.
- Feel free to utilize pre-made, publicly available, or purchased assets, as long as you have a license for them and proper credit is given as necessary.
So I'd say mentioning it on page probably is something u should do, yeah.
It's true, but I didn't really have much time implementing many features I was going to. Originally I was about to make 5 fights and also more features for those fights (spikes that turn on/off when you move or hit dummy, arrows after defeating ghost of archer), but I just didn't have enough time for these, neither other stuff like cutscenes. Honestly, making OSTs and textures was the most time-consuming since I don't have much experience with that.
