It's been a *long* time since I've done anything related to game development I've been working on this new retro-style horror concept that I have been envisioning for a while, and got my first fully-playable version of it uploaded last night. The game is still in development, and I expect to have to perform additional bug fixes, in addition to adding some additional features to it.

Final Rental is a retro/PSX-style horror game set during the night shift at a sketchy video rental store in late 1996.

You actually have to work the store: customers rent and return VHS tapes, you collect late fees, rewind tapes, put them back on the correct genre shelves, handle rentals, and deal with some pretty bizarre yet memorable customers.

The problem is that there may also be a serial killer moving through the area.

The police provide you with clues to help identify them, and the killer can even enter the store pretending to be a normal customer. If you think you've figured out who they are, you have to decide when to lock the doors and call the police — and accusing the wrong person has consequences to it.
