This control layout is just awful.

WASD to move, x to fire, u to open skill tree? How are the hands supposed to be shaped to make this work?

I really like the slot machine mechanic, but it's unclear what each one does. What do 3 swords mean? What do 3 X's mean? I'm assuming the 3 cherries drop a health pack.

The art is great, the difficulty feels great. But the controls and messaging need some work.

Interesting and unique game. It has potential!

A couple pieces of feedback, take what you want:

-It took me a long time to figure out how to possess and walk someone to the shrine. I didnt know I had a glowy orb I control with WASD. It started out of view. And once I figured out I could move this orb, I didn't know I needed to hover over a person and press LMB to possess them. Then it was confusing I had to wait for it to recharge.

-The upgrades were way too vague to know what they did. It's only after you spend your currency do you know what they do. A tooltip when hovered over the upgrade will help a ton.

-The upgrades on the third tab were confusing. I didn't understand what they meant by walking them near something. I upgraded a few of those and tried walking possessed folk all around but never saw anything change or increase. Visuals would help a ton here.

-I'd love to see some different visitors and each one would have their own unique gimmick. You had an upgrade that implied there would be 'leaders' that had followers. I never saw them. But I really like this idea. Maybe after possessing and making them give offerings to the shrine they could then go off and tell other people to go. Or when you possess another they could shoot off a nova that bring nearby people. But have them visually different so the player knows who does what.

-During night time it was confusing the orb was still there possessing people. I could not control them during night time so maybe hide the orb?

-The dark brown virus creatures were nearly impossible to see in the dark gray background.

-I did enjoy the skill tree progression for night time, but I never felt the difficulty was increasing night to night. After night three it was a bit boring to defend against monsters. Because of this I never had a monster damage the shrine. Maybe add more monsters night after night, each with their own unique mechanics and way of attacking the shrine.

Good luck! This has enough unique mechanics that it can stand out in a busy pond.

Just completed the game. GREAT demo! I am a big fan of Stacklands and this felt way more RPG/Adventury compared to Stacklands. Stacklands felt more sim-y with all the resource maintenance and the constant need to have food to feed your villagers. This was way more relaxed. Loved the experimentation with crafting! Would love to see that more developed and go even deeper. Maybe add socketing or enchants as well. Or give the "failed" crafts more of a function other than take apart.

Awesome job!

Confirmed. Looks like it's working on a new save.

The previous bug was fixed, but now I'm having the same issue as Lemur2304. The item cards in the Item slot on the Village card get stuck. Clicking or dragging on the Item slot does not pull them out. The Item slot shows # Items but you cannot get the items out. Either in or out of the Village.

Confirmed! That did the trick. I was able to drag the whole stack and he accepted them. Thank you!

How do I turn in the stones to the craftsman? I tried dragging a single stone, the whole stack of 5, my character, clicking all over, nothing works.

I keep getting a pck error on loading

Depending if people complain or not, I dunno maybe keep it in? :D

Could be a cool game mechanic you could loop in. Like when you have a scene change to the upgrade screen, have a still image of a whirlpool with text saying "if the whirlpool is spinning, then this game is working".

After playing this for a while, the world spins the other way.

Trippy.

Loving the exploration aspect of this! Cant wait to uncover more areas and find more secrets!

Ah! Figured it out.

You need the piece of paper as well. When you open the kalimbra it targets an area on the map. Should be easy from there.

Also the piece of paper inv item (avoiding spoilers)

Unsure where to go from here
